100 Steps To Eternity: The Physical Earth

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion (Jeremiah 10:12).

God created the heaven and earth. This may seem like a simple sentence, but in view of the earth’s creation, its geographical wonders, hidden mysteries, laws of nature and how every element of its existence correlates with all others, it is overwhelming. No man can grasp the full impact of this one short phrase. It was by God’s wisdom and discretion that the earth and every speck of dust upon it was strategically placed to conform to his ultimate objective for it. Every element of creation presents its own prophetic message to us each day of life, messages so obvious, yet so greatly over-looked and so often ignored.

If we could tour the universe and live the first six days as God created all living organisms, we could better understand how God’s exact chronological method of the creation is so all-important in the fragile balance of life and nature.

Everyone likes a mystery and God will explain all the hidden secrets of the earth to us in the kingdom. Until then they will remain undisclosed. This is yet another law of nature in itself, that there are certain elements in life we can do nothing about and must simply accept them.

Man was slow to accept the concept of the world being round because he couldn’t see it in its spherical dimension and therefore didn’t believe it. This itself represents man’s earliest rejection of faith in one God. Early man didn’t believe there was only one God because they couldn’t see him. Instead, they invented for themselves gods they could physically see and hold in their hands.

Eventually proof was revealed that the earth is round with no beginning point and no ending point, just like the Creator himself, who introduces himself in the Revelation as Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.

The earth holds us each near to it by the laws of nature, the law of gravity and the laws of physics, just as God holds us each near to him through his laws, the Ten Commandments. Simple to understand, yet dramatically breathtaking displays in nature show how God’s laws, the Ten Commandments, and the physical laws of nature themselves coincide with and complement all rudiments of the physical earth. The true sciences only prove God’s existence and sovereignty, and at the same time substantiate every written law and word he has given us as our training guide and textbook to go along with the physical earth itself. God’s wisdom and ways are far superior to what the human mind can even begin to comprehend. Every element of nature is perfectly coordinated to conform to God’s ultimate plan.

The Word of God began with Christ, the Fiery Core, the living spirit of His Father, in the heart of God and will end with Christ, who will rule over every inch of the earth eternally aflame with the spirit of love.

Two main lines determine angular distances on the earth. The first line is the equator, measuring 0 degrees north and 0 degrees south, referred to as the Great

Circle. The second line is the Prime Meridian, measuring 0 degrees east and 0 degrees west. The point at which these lines intersect is the base of calculating locations. Christ represents this Great Circle as the great prophet and teacher, and is both, zero degrees latitude and zero degrees longitude, totally unbiased and non-judgmental, equal and just. Christ is the plumbline, the perfect center balance of the scales of judgment on which we will ultimately each be weighed.

The length of the equator is close to 25,000 miles. The length of a meridian is also about 25,000 miles. The equatorial diameter of the earth is about 8,000 miles, making the area of the ellipsoid approximately 200 million square miles, the exact number of prophesied horsemen of Trumpet #6. Every element of the earth’s layout is of vital significance to God’s plan, yet so blatantly overlooked and unrecognized.

The earth does not stand perfectly upright. It was created at a slant, an imperfection with a purpose to show that no man born upon it is perfect and upright, either, with the exception of Christ, who represents the perfect line, the Great Circle.

The inclination, or tilt, of the earth’s axis, with respect to the sun, determines the seasons on the earth. If the earth’s axis were upright, or perpendicular to the plane of the earth’s orbit around the sun, there would be no seasonal diversity with very little disparity of temperature. Day and night would likewise vary little in length.

With the world set at a slant, the equator is the only place on earth where day and night are equal throughout the year. With human nature, man’s inclination is to go against God's laws. In the human body, if our axis were to remain perfectly upright, our temperament would likewise remain the same, in constant joy and happiness.

Until the earth is set entirely upright, each individual upon it will experience the darkness of sin relentlessly attacking each life from generation to generation, described in Exodus 17:16.

In Christ’s kingdom, there will be no night. Once Christ returns, the world will sit upright on its axis and each individual will likewise be set upright and incorruptible.

A world set upright will also eliminate the seasons, confirmed by God’s word that neither heat nor cold will affect his people ever again (Revelation 7:16). Perfect weather conditions will endure for eternity.

The earth is divided into 360 degrees. Each degree is divided further into 60 minutes, which are further broken down into 60 seconds. This primary engineering concept gives us our basis for what we know as time.

The number 40 is of prophetic importance regarding the complete house of Israel. The number 10 is the prophetic Gentile number of completion. If we multiply the number regarding the completion of God’s chosen people (40) x the Gentile number of completion (10), the sum is 400. Both Jews and Gentiles will populate the kingdom of God.

By further multiplying this sum (400) x the 360 degrees into which the earth is divided, the total is 144,000, the number of the

saints of all tribes of the children of Israel who will rule and reign with Christ over the entire earth during the Sabbath millennium.

It takes 24 hours for the earth to make one complete revolution on its axis. There are 24 meridians, “great circles” of a lesser degree, which designate the time zones on the earth. These 24 meridians prophetically represent the 24 elders – great prophets and teachers of God’s word – sitting on the seats in Revelation 4:4. All points of these meridians are exact, just as all messages of the true ministers and prophets agree to the one single exactness, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Jesus represents the high noon of each day of our lives. In the daylight, as we face the sun, its warmth and brightness surround us. At night, as we are turned away from the light, darkness prevails.

The International Date Line is the calculated location where loss or gain of a day takes place. For man’s convenience, he has placed two internationally accepted rifts in this line – one north of the equator and the other south of the equator. Going west from this line we advance a day. Going east from this line, we lose a day. This International Date Line represents the stumbling block of the entire earth where gain or loss of eternal life will be decided.

Only at the stroke of midnight on the International Date Line is a day the same all over the world. A split second later, there are two days going on at the same time. It is at the stroke of midnight that the bridegroom cometh in the parable of Matthew 25. This International Date Line represents Christ, the stumbling block of Israel. Judaism rejects Christ, as represented by the first accepted breach in this line.

The other breach in this line, the other accepted misconception, is also where the Gentiles stumble. Israel accepts God but rejects Christ. The Gentiles accept Christ but reject God by saying Jesus is God. The ministry of Israel must repair both of these misconceptions regarding Christ. Israel is chosen to preach the truth to the world that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Once Israel delivers this message of her Messiah to the world, the end will come (Matthew 24:14).

Every jot and every tittle of God’s creation, God’s word, and God’s kingdom – the past, the present and the future – are orchestrated as only his knowledge and intelligence can so describe.

The more we learn about geology, geography and the individual sciences, the more we realize how vague and insignificant man’s intelligence really is, even in its most superior state, in comparison to the wisdom of God.
