Goji Juice: The Nutritional Facts and Figures for Good Health

by Jason McDade

Goji Juice is made from the Goji berry known as Lycium Barbarum and has revealed itself to be quite possibly the most nutritionally dense food on earth. Its unique polysaccharides found in Goji Juice are responsible for much of the berries wide-ranging benefits. These polysaccharides act as Master Molecules in the body. Synergized together, they command and control many of the body's most important biochemical defence systems, and are of great importance to the smooth functioning of virtually every cell in the entire body.

Here are some facts about Goji Berry and the nutritional benefits found in each glass of Goji Juice:

Goji Juice Facts:

• It contains 19 amino acids - the building blocks of protein - including all eight that are essential for life.

• Contains 21 trace minerals, including germanium, an anti-cancer trace mineral rarely found in foods. (the main one being zinc, iron copper, calcium, selenium and phosphorus).

• Contains more protein than whole wheat (13 percent)

has been used in the treatment of cervical cancer.

• Contains Solavetivone, a powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial compound.

• Contains Physalin, a natural compound that is active against all types of leukaemia. It has been shown to increase splenic natural killer cell activity in normal and tumour bearing mice, with broad-spectrum anti-cancer effect. It has also been used as a treatment for hepatitis B.

• Contains Betaine, which is used by the liver to produce choline, a compound that calms nervousness, enhances memory, promotes muscle growth, and protects against fatty liver disease. Betaine also provides methyl groups in the body's energy reactions and can help reduce levels of homocysteine, a prime risk factor in heart disease. It also protects DNA.

• Mature Goji berries contain about 11 mg of iron per 100 grams, beta-sisterol (an anti-inflammatory agent), linoleic acid (a fatty acid), sesquiterpenoids (cyperone, solavetivone), tetraterpenoids (zeaxanthin, physalin), and betaine (0.1%).

• Excellent source of selenium and germanium and have hence been used in a number of clinical trials involving cancer patients. When given to patients undergoing chemotherapy, the Goji Berries offered significant protection for the liver.

• Linoleic acid which notably promotes decreases in body fat, supports increases in lean body mass. Linoleic acid also helps maintain healthy inflammation response and enhances immune function.

• Provides antioxidant protection. In Oriental medicine, they are said to correct chi-deficiency, meaning conditions such as low energy, insomnia, heart palpitations, and even anxiety.

Goji berries contain 22 Polysaccharides, with 4 types of polysaccharides, which fortify the immune system that are unique to the Goji, they can't be found anywhere else on the planet! These 4 Master Molecules create their own SPECTRAL SIGNATURE.

One polysaccharide found in this fruit has been found to be a powerful secretagogue (a substance that stimulates the secretion of rejuvenative human growth hormone by the pituitary gland).

Goji berries have been traditionally regarded as a longevity, strength building, and sexual potency food of the highest order. In several study groups with elderly people, the results showed that all the patients’ spirit and optimism increased significantly, appetite improved in 95% of the patients, 95% of the patients slept better, and 35% of the patients partially recovered their sexual function.

And you'll get many other nutrients too numerous to mention!

In order to get all this goodness in any other drink, you'd have to mix orange juice, apple juice, maybe throw in a V8, add some protein powder, probably some mixed greens powder, maybe add some flax or ground nuts to the mix... not only would such a mix taste positively horrid, you'd STILL BE MISSING out on the 4 MASTER MOLECULES that simply can't be found in any other food on our planet!
