by John Briggs
The lack of mental check-ups and improper diet, not to mention the constant worry and fear of terrorism, job loss and the ever increasingly violent acts of nature, are taking it’s toll on the human psyche both young and old. As stress levels increase... It starts to directly effect the memory.
At issue is the problem of memory loss and what can be done to improve it.
Memory loss can start off innocently by not being able to remember where you placed your car keys or recall a person’s name. But quickly progress to something as serious as having no recollection of family and close friends, important dates or even the beginning stages of Alzheimers
disease.
If you or someone you know is suffering with any of the symptoms of memory loss.
Here’s 7 tips I recommend to help you improve:
1) Keep an active mind- Join a book club...become an avid reader and discuss your reading with others.
2) Start a moderate exercise routine-- according to the Journal of the American Medical Association. Walking 2 or more miles per day alone... keeps the mind in in tip top shape.
3) Become more active socially-- people with lots of social activities... are less prone to serious memory problems.
4) Use simple common sense-- carry a appointment book and write down things you need to remember.
5)
Establish a routine-- start putting your most used items (car keys, pens and eye glasses) in the same place every time.
6) Get your proper sleep-- If you're sleep deprived your memory process can’t function properly.
7) Stop smoking as soon as possible-- smoking will likely cause more damage and make your memory problem even worst.
By following these simple and easy examples... You'll reap the benefits!
