Prosperity Thinking
by Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD
You have heard the saying, “If You Think You Can, You Can. If You Think You Can’t—You’re Right.” All thoughts are creative—thus be careful what you think. If you think of all the things that you want—you will create it. If you think of all the things that could go wrong you are attracting it. Within each of us lives a loud green eyed monster—a.k.a. naysayer—that keeps us small, scared and under tight control. This green eyed monster’s secret weapon is scarcity-based thinking, steeped in feelings of neediness, lack and fear. It’s all a sham. Like the great and terrible Oz behind the curtain, this part is just a small quivering fool. Reframe to the Positive
Rather than heed the naysayer, put your negative thoughts in a
bright corner where you can easily see your negative thinking for what it is and learn how you are tricked by your own thoughts. Commit yourself to recognize your naysayer language and shift your self-talk from scarcity to prosperity thinking. Reframe this. . . To this
I don’t want . . . I want. . . I intend . . . I will. . .
I can’t afford . . . I choose. . . I will. . . I can. . .
I’m struggling with . . . My opportunity now is. . . I can. . .
What if I can’t . . . I envision . . . I will persevere. . . I will. . .
The Universal Law of Attraction affirms that like attracts like. Prosperity
thinking attracts more of what we want. Self-deprecating and scarcity thoughts set up negatively charged energy that attracts what we don’t want. This Law is Universal because it does not matter who you are, where you live, what your religious beliefs are, what year you were born...the Law is true for everyone equally. It is as true as the Law of Gravity. Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD, author, international speaker and inspiritional leader specializes in: Mind, Body, Spirit healing and Physical/Sexual Abuse Prevention and Recovery. Dr. Neddermeyer empowers people to view life's challenges as an opportunity for Personal/Professional Growth and Spiritual Awakening. http://www.drdorothy.net
