What Not to Give Your Unborn Child

by Margaret Albright

It is true that using natural remedies and supplements will improve your live dramatically. Unfortunately, during pregnancy, some could cause devastating results.

Yes, there are many herbs that are contraindicated during pregnancy. Some of these herbs may be a part of your daily intake. It is advisable that you read the list and avoid these herbs for the next few months. You will find access to this list at the end of this article.

I first want to tell you about the good herbs that will help your pregnancy and delivery.

Raspberry tea should be a big part of your daily diet. Raspberry tea has the ability to strengthen your uterus. And I mean strengthen! Read this little story:

My daughter, Liza, was pregnant with her first child when I first started studying herbs. I read about raspberry tea and it's potential usefulness. We were both very skeptical, as you may be now. Liza liked raspberry tea so she agreed to give it a try and drink it. She was in her third trimester when we found this information so we weren't expecting any great results. Boy, were we surprised at what happened.

Liza's water broke at a little after midnight on October 21st. We went to the hospital. Details of our panic at this moment are being withheld to preserve our integrity. Needless to say, we were very excited. Liza's husband couldn't even talk. But that's a whole other story.

Back to Liza. As you recall, we are now at the hospital. Liza was in labor according to the machines they attached to her big belly. According to Liza,

she was not. She was feeling no pain.

About two and a half hours later she was already 8 centimeters dilated. Still no pain. The nurse told her she would have to get her epidural soon or not at all. There comes a time during delivery when it is too late to administer the epidural.

Liza asked me what I thought. I was thinking about the 36 hours of excruciating labor I endured to deliver her and I said she better get that epidural NOW! She did.

Well, the next couple hours were fairly nice for all of us. Liza was too excited to sleep so we talked and talked. (Liza's husband slept.) The nurses came in regularly and checked her. Everything was progressing nicely.

To make a long story short, if that's possible at this point, Dylan, my sweet little grandson, was born at 6:26 am on October 21. (Only six and a half hours of labor.) He was a small baby, 5lbs. 14oz. but Liza barely felt a thing.

If you have ever had a baby, you know that shortly after delivery, the nurses will come in and massage your stomach to help your uterus contract. This is to make sure it will go back to it's normal size. Well, when the nurses came in to massage Liza's stomach, they couldn't find her uterus. It had already contracted.

If that's not enough to convince you to drink raspberry tea while you are pregnant, this story get even better.

Two years later, Liza was pregnant again. This time she started drinking the tea from the very beginning. Nine months later we were back at the hospital. From the time Liza's water

broke until delivery was about four and a half hours. Liza decided not to have the epidural this time. Adorable little Emily was 6lbs. exactly and her mother never even felt one labor pain, not one! (Emily has been a regular pain ever since, haha.) Again, the nurses couldn't find her uterus after delivery.

I can't say for a fact that Liza would not have had the same results without the tea but if my personal birthing experiences are any indication, that tea was a miracle. In any event, it certainly won't do any harm. Also, her doctors and nurses were all very surprised at how easy her deliveries went. What does it take to surprise a doctor? I think that's testimony enough. DRINK RASPBERRY TEA!
