Constant Pain Does Not Have to be a Way of Life

by Olu Bicoy

For example, many Americans suffer from constant headaches. Thirteen percent of the population suffers from migraines. There are a number of ways to manage and possibly prevent tension headaches:

- Watch what you eat.

- Some headache sufferers find there is a connection between eating or drinking foods with aspartame and their headaches. In some people, aspartame may cause the blood vessels in the brain to expand and trigger a headache.

- Cut down on your caffeine intake. Caffeine is actually used to treat headaches and can be found in a number of migraine medications. However, too much caffeine can sometimes cause a “rebound” and actually bring on some headaches.

- Avoiding tobacco can also reduce headaches.

- Reduce your stress level.

- Getting at least eight hours of sleep per night is recommended for everyone. If you suffer from chronic tension headaches, getting a full 8 hours of sleep may reduce the intensity of your headaches. However, be aware that oversleeping can also bring on a headache.

- Staying out in the sun for an extended period of time has also been believed to bring on a headache. Excessive sun exposure and a lack of proper hydration can lead to headaches. Additionally, you should be sure to keep your eyes shaded and drink plenty of water when outdoors.

- Medicate. Many over-the-counter pain relievers will do the trick. MedGen’s PAINenz is an all natural pain reliever. If you’re worried about side effects, PAINenz is your answer, as an all natural roll-on topical analgesic you can avoid digestion issues.

- What you think is a sinus headache, may actually be a migraine. Check with your doctor to ensure that you are treating the right ailment.

- Tension headaches caused by stress can be diminished either by reducing the stress or using over-the-counter pain medication. However, if you suffer from daily headaches you will need to look into better ways of dealing with the stress and consult your doctor for other medical options.

- If your headaches are unusually intense or last for several days, you need tosee your doctor immediately.

- Leading a healthy and active lifestyle has many benefits, among them, reducing tension headaches.

If you’ve suffered from constant pain in your spine for three months or more, or you take narcotic pain relievers, you may be suffering from potentially deforming spinal fractures. These spinal fractures can often be treated with a non-surgical procedure. The procedure is called Vertebroplasty, it stabilizes the fractured bone, can provide long-lasting pain relief and may prevent further damage if performed early.

Regardless of the problem, if you are in deep, constant pain you should see a doctor right away.
