Do you suffer from Psoriasis?

If you do then you can fully understand the pain and sometimes even shame that comes with this skin condition. I understand because I also live with it which is why I have started a site for fellow sufferers. It is a general topic site and I invite you to feel free to post any thoughts, tips or advice for others to read.

Together we just might be able to help each other come to better grips with it, or possibly try a new approach that we had not thought of before.

For those of you who do not know what psoriasis is, here is a generalized idea of this condition.

“What is Psoriasis?

PSORIASIS IS A CHRONIC SCALING DISEASE of the skin. It may range from just a few spots anywhere on the body to large areas of involvement. It is not contagious or spreadable from one part of the body to another or from one person to another.
There is no blood test for psoriasis. The diagnosis is made by observation and examination of the skin.

The exact cause of psoriasis is unknown, but hereditary and genetic factors are important. Psoriasis runs in families. This does not mean, however, that every childof a parent with psoriasis will develop psoriasis, but it is common that somewhere down the line psoriasis will appear in families. Psoriasis is not caused by allergies, infections, dietary deficiencies or excesses, or nervous tension”
