Amazon.com Review
If you've ever wondered why the latest fad diet doesn't work for you... well, there are lots of reasons, mostly the fact that it's a fad diet. But it could also be that you're the wrong blood type for the kinds of foods the diet recommends. Peter D'Adamo makes a persuasive argument that your blood type is an evolutionary marker that tells you which foods you'll process best, and which will be useless calories. He covers the entire range for each of the four blood types, from entrées to condiments and seasonings, and also makes type-specific exercise and lifestyle recommendations.

3 out of 5 stars A very good book, all told   March 18, 2010

This is a very good book. It is truly amazing to know that your blood type significantly determines the types of food you can and should eat.

I would have given this book 5 stars, but I noticed some conflicting information in the list of foods per blood type and the associated menus. More focus should have been paid to these sections to eliminate the occasional conflicts.

4 out of 5 stars In depth and very interesting   March 18, 2010

You need to know your blood type before getting started. The book starts with the history of the four blood types O, A, B and AB (being the rarest) and how the human evolution (our adaptation) encouraged a change in the different blood types.

It will give you a detailed list of each food group and categorises each food (Eg, type of cheese you can eat) into "highly beneficiary, " Neutral" and "to avoid." You'll be surprised of the huge variety of foods out there that can impact your health.

I didn't take the menu very seriously at first however over time had to agree that certain "To avoid" foods were making me more tired/bloated ET, while the highly beneficiary foods helped me slim down faster and my overall mood would lift.

Who would have thought some people could get away with a double beef burger while others are better off being vegetarian!

Enjoy :)

5 out of 5 stars simple way to become more healthy   March 2, 2010

This book was amazingly accurate for me. it explained a lot evolutionarily. Of course, every person has to individualize their own diet for more factors than just their blood type, that is a given, but I learned a lot about my own body and how it works, and that can really help me make better eating decisions. i'm really thankful that i read this.

4 out of 5 stars Best used book I ever bought!!   March 1, 2010
Candace (KS, USA)
This is the best used book I have ever bought!! It arrived in the mail sooner than I had expected via the USPS. The spine of the book made that cracking noise, you know that noise that new books make the fist time you open them? I was elated. The book was in the condition that the seller had described. I would purchase from this seller again.
