practical information resource for martial arts practitioners February 11, 2010 Pavel Kada I've found this book very helpfull for my aikido and kyusho practice as it reveals the eastern view of human body construction and functions and helps to understand how to influence it positive or negative way.
Not Anatomy December 2, 2009 David M. Tucker This book has almost no anatomy. The vast majority of this book is comprised of eastern medicine. If you are looking for detailed knowledge of the human body for use in martial arts, this is NOT the book to get. You would be better off with almost any medical anatomy book or a martial arts book on "vital point striking".
If you are in to the more fantastic side of martial arts and not self-defense, this book may interest you.
anatomy October 19, 2009 Karen S. Yinger A nice comparison of east and west. I like having the many pages of channels to refer to.
Very nice presentation January 13, 2009 K. W. Forsythe (Colorado, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The charts presented in this book are very clear. They are nice and large, color-coded, very easy to see. And there are lots of them in both simpler and more complex layouts. For those concerned about whether the martial applications discussed in the book are valid or not, that section of the book is very short and whether you like that section or not, it doesn't detract at all from the value of the many, many large and clear charts that are presented throughout the rest of the book. Nicely done.
Good book, title is off September 7, 2008 A Customer (CA) A very extensive book on meridians and pressure points. The title is not reflective of the content, but a very good book on accupressure points. A good book for your accupressure library but lacks in martial art healing principals.
