I first had the occasion to read an earlier edition of Change Your Smile in 1990. I was in the Waiting Room at the Medical College of Georgia. I was there for my first leap into the world of Student Comestic Denistry.
I began my road of changing my smile that day. Then I: (4)" Cracked down" (6) "Found what was lost" (8) "Found Closure" and (9)"Straightened up and smiled right". Now I: (10) "Don't Gum up the Works" (12) Have the Finishing Touches.
Dr. G's new book shows you How It's Done. You can follow along with contouring, veneers,crowns and etc. and Change Your Smile.

I got this book when I decided I wanted to improve my smile before my wedding. Prior to this book I was clueless about dental cosmetic procedures, and now that I have read Change Your Smile, I feel like a dental pro. Armed with the book, I went to my local dentist and was able to ask intelligent questions about each possible procedure that would specifically help me in my case. I felt much more comfortable since the book taught me what to ask, what to expect and what price to pay. My favorite aspects of the book were:
- The great photos that show the before and after for each case.
- The straight forwardness of the text, which made the book easy to understand and consumer friendly while still being very detailed.
- The charts at the end of each chapter. These 2-page charts titled `Which solution is best for you?' include the treatment time, maintenance, results, cost, advantages, and disadvantages for each procedure and depending on the specific smile challenge. These charts were concise and for me completly life savers.
An added bonus with Change Your Smile was a chapter towards the end titled `Finishing Touches'. It included several helpful beauty tips on topics such as skin treatments and make-up. I also invested a lot of time in the section about hair that explains which haircuts go best with each specific facial shape. The best part is that it not only explains the haircut, it actually shows good and bad haircuts for each type, this was very helpful.
Overall, I feel it is thanks to Change Your Smile that I got the smile of my dreams for the wedding of my dreams.
