Toxic Metal Syndrome: How Metal Poisonings Can Affect Your Brain (Dr. Morton Walker Health Book) This book is a valuable resource for laypersons and health care professionals. It would be nice if the authors would update the edition with newer material, but for those interested in Alzheimer's Disease, behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and Parkinson's Disease, the content presented is well worth paying attention to. Industrial, cosmetic, environmental, and food source pollutants and chemicals play an increasing role in the development of chronic illness. While the authors pay particular attention to neurological aspects of the human brain, there is discussion of how seemingly harmless, everyday heavy metal exposures add up systemically - affecting cellular regeneration, deposits in organ tissues, and muscular skeletal damage. It shows concrete case studies of people that underwent chelation therapy and improved tremendously. There is a list of ACAM physicians (mostly DO's) in the back or the book. The book is also useful if you are not in the medical field and you are interested in Chelation therapy. I did not find the book well written (it rambles). I did not find scientific information tightly presented. There are many antedotal stories, if you enjoy these. The book does not contain information useful to a doctor interested in exploring state of the art treatment for chelation therapy.
