I read Eric's book in 2005 and I'm glad I did. Nobody in the medical field is giving people with ALS any hope, but Eric truly is winning, actually getting better and not worse. I'm doing what he recommends in the book, and my health is still good 4 1/2 years later. 4 years into a 5 year death sentence and I'm still walking and dancing. I think Eric Edney is right about the cause of ALS: Toxins, malnutrition, and stress.
Get the metal out of your mouth.
Detoxify by chelation and other methods.
Eat only whole, nontoxic food.
Remove toxins from your environment.
Take neuroprotective supplements as needed.
De-stress and keep a positive mental attitude.
Eric, you rock!

As a friend of a newly diagnosed ALS person (PALS), I'm trying to learn everything possible. This was a help, not only for this disease, but has a clear message to everyone... remove everything toxic from your environment, to have a fighting change at "health". ALS is such a devastating diagnosis to receive, anything "hopeful" is so welcome. Well written, a very quick read, and is inspirational, as Eric outlived his prognosis by several years.

I have a friend that has ALS and I bought it for him. I have read this book in 2 days before I gave it to him. I found it extremely interesting and am going to follow the detox program myself. Anyone who wants to be health conscious or maybe help prevent heart disease, cancer, etc then this is a good lifestyle to follow. Alot of the information in the book I already knew about but there is also quite a bit that I had not read about before. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who has a motor neuron disease and to others who just want to know more about the possible prevention of other diseases. Eric has an incredible attitude and determination which is something we can all learn to achieve in our own lives. I hope he does live to 141 years old.

The path of ALS is different in every single case.(as in Stephen Hawking) If Eric is even a real person, perhaps he progresses slowly. BUT- please- don't you think if this guy really had come up with a true formula to slow or halt ALS, that Doctor's would be prescribing it? The Doctor who left a "review" here... try to find him. I did. This is a scam and it's very sad. Eric is winning lots of money that's about it. The problem is, ALS already costs families their life savings and then some, so why should they give any to him. Do your own research- read forums where countless people tried this book and came up empty. The only people leaving positive feedback are either in on this scam or are also experiencing a slow progression. Everyone knows a healthier lifestyle will help you feel better- you don't need this book to figure that out. Eric is involved with making money by people buying products which he makes money on. That's the bottom line. So please- make a donation to a research lab so they can find a cure- don't give this guy your money.
