Product Description Within these pages are 75 original Preggatini recipes highlighting fresh juices, herbs, and garnishes as well as ideas for Preggatini Parties - a modern spin on the humdrum baby shower. Organized by pregnancy stages and symptoms, this lavishly illustrated, pocket-sized, virtually intoxicating guide also offers quotes from famous mums about pregnancy and health and such options as 'De-virginize for Dad' - making these drinks applicable to all. This includes a recipe exclusively provided by Celebrity Chef Michel Richard, recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Chef James Beard award, author of "Happy in the Kitchen", and owner of the legendary Citronelle restaurant in Washington, DC.

great gift November 2, 2009 M. Riordan This was a gift for a friend. While the idea of the book is a little toung in cheek, the actual book and its content is pretty useful! These are healthy drinks for the mom-to-be and can be made with some basic ingredients.
Excellent Book of Virgin Cocktails for the Ex Virgin October 30, 2009 Christopher Carlsson (Rochester, New York) Normally I wouldn't bother reviewing a non-alcoholic drinks book (I don't want to encourage their spread) but I am making an exception in this case because it was written with pregnancy in mind rather than some Fascist/Prohibitionist agenda. Natalie does a very creative job creating excellent cocktails to lessen the suffering of pregnant women who are craving real cocktails.
The book features 75 recipes with ingredients, directions, etc. all of which are quite good and inventive. They not only taste good but are pleasing to the eye. One of the best books on non-alcoholic cocktails out there.
As a bonus, there is a fair amount of pregnancy affirmations in there for people who like that kind of thing, which also makes it a great gift for a baby shower- just jot a couple of the recipes down beforehand so you can hand the mother to be one (or several) of these cocktails during the shower- she'll probably need them by then!
FANTASTIC!! October 29, 2009 Christopher A. Milligan (Santa Fe, NM) I love this book!! As a professional bartender I found the drinks to be unique and innovative. As a dad-to-be, this is a great way to do something special for your lady when little things mean a lot! Best of all the drinks are DELICIOUS!
Mixology - Non - Alcoholic drinks. August 17, 2009 Kimberly D. Oldham (Huntington Beach, CA) Thought the book was great. Would never have ordered it given the title. Saw an article in the local paper about the book, and decided to check it out on Amazon. Excellent book for those looking for an alcohol alternative in fancy, festive drinks.
Preggatinis is one book you'll really use! January 9, 2009 J. Schulman (Washington, DC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Preggatinis: Mixology for the Mom-to-Be is a delightful, fun, colorful book full of bright and cheerful photos of sexy non-alcoholic cocktails (with pre-preg and daddy recipes as well). As a newly pregnant woman, I found this book to be a refreshing collection of uplifting passages and yes-you-can easy and healthy recipes! With all the heavy reading to do about pregnancy and what you can't ingest, how wonderful to have a collection of delicious green-light cocktails! They are all the author's original creations, with fun names like Folic Fizz and Gingerly Gestating. Ms. Bovis-Nelsen has brought her snappy chic LiquidMuse.com writing style to her first book, and I highly recommend it for yourself, as a baby shower gift, or for anyone who would like to drink healthy beautiful drinks without guilt.
