Easy book to carry with you November 17, 2009 Ann Black (Phoenix AZ) It will be interesting to see how this will work.............it seems a tad restrictive, but
after years of not havinng to watch my weight, any 'diet" seems restrictive!.
Great diet! November 8, 2009 Monica Anne Moseley (Fort Worth, TX) This is one of the easiest diets I have ever been on. I am an athletic woman that was wanting to lose 10-15 pounds to give me a jumpstart. I lost 11 pounds the first week! Incredible! The food is good and I am learning to put together meals that are 400 calories now. The pocket guide makes following the diet very easy. I just bought the pocket guide and it had enough info in it for me to follow the diet.

Simmons (Charleston, SC United States) I got the book in a timely matter and although I have yet to do the shopping I like it's condensed style for those who want to just start the diet and or use the book as a cookbook for healthier meals!! I am really glad that I got the shorter version it's perfect for my purposes....taking nothing away from the full version of the book.

I got this pocket guide along with the regular book. I highly recommend it for its ease of use for quick reference for meals and eating out options as well as its portability to the grocery store. The weekly plans are different from the regular book since this pocket guide says it is a budget-maximizing eating plan. It is also a simpler diet to fix than what is in the regular book, but there is less variety. I recommend both books and probably the cookbook, too, if you plan on going full force with this as a new eating style. The diet itself is pretty similar to other diets, but includes the MUFAs (chocolate, oils, nut butters, avocados). I did lose initial weight on the 4-day quickstart and am looking for longer-term results now from the regular diet. It is a filling, enjoyable diet and doesn't starve you like others. I am definitely assuming a healthier, more nutritious menu style with this plan.
