Product Description When a couple gets pregnant, typically, the first thing the mother-to-be does is rush out to the bookstore to buy the various pregnancy bibles. But how is the expectant father supposed to know what to expect? He could wait in the dark and take his cues from his partner, or he could prepare himself for anything and everything by seeking the counsel of two regular dudes, who have climbed the steep learning curve (and lived to tell) that comes when having a baby. THE DUDES' GUIDE TO PREGNANCY dispenses irreverent, honest, practical advice for the expectant father in an easy-to-understand--and often hilarious--man-to-man format. Taking you through the entire nine month process, the Dudes offer advice on what to expect from your newly pregnant wife (paranoia, morning sickness, enlarged breasts, no sex); the dos and don'ts of dealing with your wife's body and mood changes, your mother-in-law and other family members; and the nitty-gritty details of what is expected of you and how your life will be changing during the next 40 weeks. THE DUDES' GUIDE TO PREGNANCYgives twenty-something to forty-something men the indespensible tools and advice they need to maneuver the many ups and downs associated with impending fatherhood.

Best October 22, 2009 Douglas Kelley (Minnesota) Any GUY looking to know the truth about what to expect should read this. Very true and not sugarcoated.
This book is bound to make a bestseller list September 29, 2009 Readers Favorite (Hawesville, KY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Let's face it, men look at pregnancy much different than women. They watch as their wives' body changes. They know there is a baby in there but they have little idea of what's happening and how their life is about to change.
If you judge a book by its cover, then you will immediately know this is going to be good. The authors survived pregnancy and learned a lot. They willingly share their hard-learned lessons with other men. Bill Lloyd and Scott Finch warn that this is not a book for women and that the pages are treated with a mysterious chemical that reacts to female hormones. I now look like Joan Rivers...read the book only then will you understand. Seriously, this is a great book. It covers mood swings, enlarging body parts, facts, and myths. The Dudes' Guide To Pregnancy is written in a style that will appeal to men. My favorite part was Ask The Dude. This book is bound to make a bestseller list. Way to go Dudes!
Funny if your into comedy September 25, 2009 Macystike1 (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I too ordered this book for my husband and we both ended up reading it. It was hilarious, I laughed out loud many, many times. My husband enjoyed it as well. The thing is you need to be open minded and have a little since of humor. Yes, it might be offending to some people but I loved it so much that when my girlfriends get pregnant I am ordering them this book and the girlfriends guide to pregnancy, one for each parents. I have recommended it and I will continue to. Because even though brutally honest - it's funny and well, honest. In fact I enjoyed reading these two books more then what to expect when expecting.
Just get it! September 12, 2009 Adam Anderson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was hilarious a great read you should just buy it. not a ton of facts but you will get enough of that on your own and it all you want is facts not any humor just hit google.
He didn't like it September 10, 2009 R. Williams (Indianapolis, IN) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this and My Guys Can Swim for my Daddy-to-be thinking it would be cute to stick in a funny book with all the other serious books we planned to get through before baby arrived. Initially he seemed interested and even picked it up to read the same evening I gave it to him, but soon it ended up on the bookshelf with all the other discarded and/or previously read books. I later confronted him about the book, asking if he liked it or finished it. He confessed he felt it was stupid and not worth his time. Thankfully he was still interested in the serious books, so I didn't really care. I would suggest checking it out at your local library before purchasing.
