I'm an emergency room physician and I've gotten a new edition of this book every couple of years for quite sometime. I finally set aside my well worn falling apart 2006 edition and updated to the 2009. The 2009 edition is quite a bit bigger, in fact it won't fit in the pocket of my scrubs unless I rip out the seam that holds my pen. also i've already noticed some errors--- (pediatric liquid drug concentrations as mg/ tab ). I think i'll return it and try the 2008 edition instead, maybe it won't be as up to date but hopefully it will not contain errors.

This is the regular human beloved pharmacopoeia. I ordered from here after looking at the pictures and surmising the "veterinary" label is a mistake, and I did receive the normal edition.
I am an FP MD and have used these every day for years, since medstudenthood. Pocket version is best, better I think than Tarascon's other ancillary products. Epocrates for palmtops is also good, but I think this is still quicker, and easier to scribble a note in too. Med students and residents: get this now, before food, maybe before water, and certainly before sleeping.

I'm not sure why Amazon lists "(Library of Veterinary Practice)" in the title, as this seems to imply this is a veterinary resource...other than that, this book is as useful as ever, although the index has taken out the helpful letters to indicate bottom, middle or top of page where drug is located.
