Editorial Reviews:
Product Description With more than one hundred illustrated techniques, Atlas of Manipulative Techniques for the Cranium & Face is one of the most comprehensive sources of cranial techniques available.
Organized by bone, each technique is illustrated through remarkable drawings which graphically depict the placement and movement of the practitioner's hands on the patient's head. Accompanying text systematically describes the purpose of the technique, the position of both patient and practitioner, the points of contact, and the movement of hands and fingers in relation to the cranial motion.
The concise, systematic description of each technique and the vivid illustrations which accompany the text have contributed equally to the success which this book has enjoyed throughout the world.

Useful PicturesFebruary 19, 2008 William Bagley(Ashland, Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is a catalog of useful Cranial Sacral alignment techniques for the head, neck, and face region. I found the level of detail helpful in getting the feel for subtle alignments. The book is meant to supplement the basic courses on Cranial Sacral work and take the work to the next level. The book is from a European Cranial tradition and has useful alternatives to the movements used in the US.

I am an esthetician and bought this book for information on new massage techniques for the face and scalp. UGH!! What this book shows are techniques for bone plate realignment of the skull. It is full of medical terms with no reference. Way, way, too technical.
fantastic visuals of the applied forces to cranial techniqueJanuary 2, 2000 Mark E Sutherland(Kansas City, Missouri) 46 out of 49 found this review helpful
This Atlas of Cranial techniques goes a long way to visually orient the practitioner to specific techniques applied to the cranium. Each layout is a detailed description of the applied technique, while the visual application is beautifully rendered on the opposing side. This is a must for anyone interested in expanding their approach to the patient with cranial techniques.
