ESSENTIAL FOR THE STUDY OF ASKLEPIOSApril 1, 2000 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Simply the most comprehensive book on Asklepios, the greek good of healing, available. Edelstein has every reference to the god in both the original and translation. For a serious scholar this is a holy grail, but for someone without some familirity with the myth, this book might be a little overwhelming.
