Fabulous book for daddy! August 29, 2008 LA MOM (LA) I bought this book for my husband and ended up also reading it myself. Chock full of great tips and quick solutions for busy dads. It's the best daddy healthy/nutrition/fitness book out there. The hardest part was getting him to open it, but once he did he was hooked!
good wake up call August 3, 2008 M. Kornik (Massachusetts) I really liked the tone of this book. Buff Dad has a lot of common sense in it with a big focus on the exercises. The diet advice is good, but I wanted more of the practical kind of advice. A full blown shopping list would have been helpful, but what I need to work on is how do I eat more healthy when the rest of the family isn't quite as into this thing as I am. BTW, notice that the website for the book is buffdads.com (plural of buffdad). If you go to buffdad.com it is some trainer in NO.
Good for Ol' DAD July 10, 2008 Jessica Hirschhorn (Bethesda, MD) A common sense straightforward book for old dad. Discusses food choices (not diet) and exercise. Nice illustrations of specific strenthening exercises in a helpful, step-by-step manner. I'm not sure that there is much hard science to support his theory that "testosterone foods" speed weight loss (if there is such a thing) but lean meats and protein, fruits and veggies, and whole grains are the basis of most successful programs. PS Old MOM uses the book more than old DAD.
