Product Description Two-time Olympic gold medalist Megan Quann Jendrick and her husband and personal trainer offer a complete training regimen -- including a diet program -- that will enable everyone to achieve the body of their dreams through swimming.Elite-level swimmers share a common trait -- their toned, shapely bodies. Get Wet, Get Fit shows how anyone, regardless of age or size, can use swimming to get into the best condition of their lives. The Jendricks offer detailed instructions along with underwater photographs that illustrate how to achieve proper form and technique for the four basic strokes -- backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. But unlike the average training manual or how-to book, Get Wet, Get Fit also provides: - Training regimens for everyone from beginners to Olympic-level competitors, including dynamic drills for strengthening, fat loss, and endurance
- Physique-building workout routines (with and without weights) for dry land
- A complete diet plan, including tempting recipes and menus (swimmers need carbohydrates, so this is a diet to love)
- Tips from world-class swimmers
Low impact and gentle on the joints, swimming is one of the most enjoyable and exhilarating ways to exercise, but Get Wet, Get Fit shows how it can also be one of the most effective ways to get your body into top shape.

Insightful October 9, 2008 Murry Zborowski This book is well thought out and written . The workouts are good but it would have been better to teach how t create your own workouts. Nice information well presented still worth reading and owning
Getting there September 24, 2008 TI 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Been following the program in the book. First off I am not a swimmer, but I am getting there. And I'm losing weight and feeling pretty good.
Best book on topic I've read September 15, 2008 Gmn Nutrition 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read a lot of books for triathletes--swimming, running, biking--and this is the most complete one that I have ever picked up. Very inclusive, very detailed. The pictures are really nice. Lots of information here. I was never much a swimmer, now I'm in the pack every race and feel like I am getting better still. Invaluable tool.
Top-notch swimming book February 2, 2008 Body Bodybuilder (Santa Monica, California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was pretty skeptical about how much I could actually get out of a swimming book, but this far exceeded my expectations. I bought it because the information was coming from someone who has actually used this knowledge to win at the highest levels of swimming... not someone who had some instructional credit and tried to make a buck. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to become a swimmer, or become a better swimmer than they already are.
Olympian Tips Worth It All January 7, 2008 Jacob 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This book is insightful and complete and while it may be a little redundant at times, I would rather see it too complete than lacking. What I like most is that there are tips from quite a few of my favorite Olympians in there, and they include their own kind of sidebars with tips. Gary Hall Jr's are exceptional and collectively, I think those gems make the book worth the price all by themselves.
