Nothing gets to Shane Elliott. A former Army Ranger, now head of security for a wealthy real estate tycoon, Shane can handle whatever life throws at him—until he meets the beautiful, kindhearted Paige Albright. She’s about to inherit a fortune, and Paige’s mother has asked Shane to investigate her boyfriend. It should have been a simple, standard assignment for Shane…if only Paige’s seductive mix of strength and vulnerability didn’t leave him wanting her for himself.
All her life, Paige has put others’ needs before her own, even going so far as choosing a man to please her father. Now her mother’s mysterious houseguest is tempting her to go after what she truly wants…even if it’s the cool, assertive, irresistible Shane himself. But is he who he appears to be? And how can Paige know whether to trust her own judgment—and their red-hot attraction?
Fab BookDecember 1, 2008 Venus A. Jackson(St. Louis, MO) We talked to the Author and got to know what her thoughts were. This was excellent book.
Once AgainNovember 24, 2008 Tap Shoes(Michigan) Once again Ray offers characters that are pretty on the outside but have no depth on the inside. Definitely no more Ray for me!
A Little DissapointedOctober 29, 2008 Jboogie(New Jersey) I was really looking forward to this book and I really tried to like this book. I even read twice just in case I rushed through it. But I still thought it was a little boring and too sweet. I did not feel the heat or the magic between the two main characters. I have read everyone of Ms Ray's books but I could not connect the Shane in this book with Ms. Ray's previous books.
Nice and SweetOctober 15, 2008 sammy sun I really enjoyed this book. The end was a little rushed but most romance/fantsy books have to make everyone happy at the end. But overall, I was pleased with the story and I loved Shane. I would love to have a black knight in shining armour like him.
Sweet StoryOctober 14, 2008 J. Ball(Tuscaloosa, AL United States) I couldn't wait to get this book after discovering Francis Ray was writing more books regarding the Grayson's Friends. I loved the Shane Elliott character even when he was introduced in Dreaming of You and to know he finally met his match with Paige was to good. I loved the story, it was too sweet to read how hard it was for him to hold back until he could really have her. Great Story!!!
