More comprehensive than the "Dummies" books. November 20, 2008 C. Hayden (Auburn, CA. USA) Adobe has done a very good job with their "Classroom in a Book" series. I purchased The "Dummies" book when I first started learning Photoshop 7. Then I took a college class that used the Adobe book (which is why I bought this book for CS3). Adobes' book covers EVERYTHING you can do with Photoshop, albeit briefly. Just follow the book and you will at least touch on everything the software can do. I recommend it highly.
Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book October 24, 2008 Ellen M. Gilbert This is well written. It was delivered quickly and in excellent condition and was the textbook required for class. Thank you.
Nicely guided introductory tutorial for Photoshop CS3 October 23, 2008 Jordan Ramsey (Paris, Illinois United States) The book is easy to follow and tells you exactly what to do during the exercises to reach the intended outcome of the photos you are working with. It teaches you one thing then another, building as you go on with what you have done in previous chapters. It also comes with the CD-Rom of the contents you need for use with the book and exercises.
GREAT BOOK October 9, 2008 Roberta Price This is a wonderful book and I think it will be very helpful in the classroom.
Adobe CS3 Classroom in a Book October 7, 2008 Francis Crosby Jr. As a novice with Photoshop, other than Elements, I was looking for something that a beginner could use. This book was just the thing. Broken up into 1-2 hour lessons, it takes the user step by step through each lesson. The included CD with working files and some videos allows the user to see a final product before starting on each lesson. The only down side to the book, and for some it will be a major downside, is that many of the reasons behind techniques are not well explained.
