Product Description Legions of readers entranced by Twilight are hungry for more and they won't be disappointed. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

Not as good as the orignal but pretty good December 4, 2008 Tyler S I read this book and twilight over thanks giving weekend, and to tell you the truth this one is not as good. the reason i think that is(SPOILER ALERT) because Edward is not in it for much and i dont like Jacob. But this book is Very Good, i like how it says things like "After Romeo Was Banished Could Juiliet Settle With Paris" i loved that mostly because were reading Romeo And Juilet in Class, but any way back to the story, this was a exciting book, Bella almost dies like 500 hundred times, Edward almost kills himself, People they travel to italy,........i dont like how people say that "I Hate She Just took Edward back so quick" Well people Edward explained wyh he left and that is her true love what is she supposed to do. Well if you read the first read this one, and if u havn't read any of the....Start lol
Enjoyed it, but a little disappointed December 3, 2008 Michol 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book was a little harder to get through then Twilight. I found myself losing focus on the book as there were many parts that dragged. At times I felt the author could have easily cut off 100-150 pages and we wouldn't have missed a thing. Ok read, but definitely not as good as the first one.
missed Edward's point of view... December 3, 2008 Netta (California, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The author was really brave, removing one of the primary characters away from the book for 400 pages. I liked the book, it was very different. he description of what ones goes through when one loses someone he or she loves is very accurate; I could identify with it. I also liked the development of the werewolves/shape shifters. However, I did feel that when Edward and Bella finally meet, it was kind of as if they immediately got back to where they were. There was no awkwardness, no hurt feelings. All was forgiven, and immediately. What I would have really liked (to make it 5 stars) was a recount of what Edward went through, both emotionally, as well as in his daily life in the period he disappears from Bella's life. Maybe Stephanie can write a 'Midnight Moon' as well as a 'Midnight Sun'!!!
Missed Edward December 2, 2008 A. Castle (NM) ***If you haven't read this book yet, skip this review as there is a bit of spoilers in it*** I did like this book, but I wanted more of Edward and Bella, that is what hooked me on the series...what I ultimately thought it was centered around. It was really sad when Edward left.....but I just "knew" he would be back. What I did NOT expect was that he would be gone for the majority of the book. Because Edward is the favorite character for me, I was disappointed. It was a good read, and I was ecstatic when Edward was reintroduced. Edward is the draw for me in these books and without him it was just....well...not Twilight.... I just found it strange for Stephenie Meyer to write this beautiful love story between Edward and Bella in the first novel, only to almost delete him from the second installment. I can see what she was doing, but I was disappointed. I gave this 3 stars because in the end, she did redeem herself by bringing Edward and the rest of the Cullens back.
New Moon December 2, 2008 Carmela Briggs (Williams, AZ) The Twilight saga was never on my reading list until I heard about it from a friend, who said my youngest daughter would like to read it. By that time I had seen a movie clip about the first book, Twilight. The clip I saw was very good and got me thinking about the book. I have read all the books and I very much enjoyed them all! I don't think they are solely for the young teen girls, I believe they are for all ages! I am a 44 year old female, and I am addicted to them all I can't wait for the next movie New Moon.
