Seinfeld Complete for $139.99 November 17, 2008 G. Morris (Chatworth, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After patiently waiting 1 year for the price to drop to a reasonable price, I was amazed when I checked Amazon and saw the price drop overnight from $207.00 all the way down to $139.99. Everone else sells this for $200.00 so at $139.99, it's a steal to own perhaps one of the greatest comedy's of all time on television. Sure you can watch reruns on TV, but now you can watch Seinfeld any time of the day you choose and with 32 CD's + a bonus CD, you just can't go wrong buying this collection. So what are you waiting for? Jerry, George, Elaine, Kramer, Newman, Puddy, Jackie Childs, and the Bubble Boy are waiting for you. Oh yeah, did I mention you get the coffee table book as well included in this collection? Well you do you know!

I bought this for my boyfriend, and I must say that watching it with him has made me fall in love with this show that I was too young to watch when it was on television. Brilliantly written , this show is definitely my new favourite! I can say that Seinfeld has alluded me for all these years however its never too late to fall in love with. Its so fun and easy to watch, free from drama and violence of todays television and great for all ages! This box set is the perfect gift! I am converted!

Indispensible for any Seinfeld fan. September 2, 2008 K. Perrott (Toronto, Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a first class production all the way. The packaging is most professional. The shows are as funny and as dark as ever, but it's the extra's that really put this into a different level. Most episodes have an 'intro' that adds very pertinent, and sometimes quite startling details (like....why Elaine's father only appeared in one episode! Who knew?)I'm determined to watch each episode, plus the accompanying extra's, in sequence. I'm just now finishing Season 3. And while I'm anxious to see Seasons 4 through 9, I'm trying to savour each one as much as possible. The price might seem a bit steep, but when you think of it....180 episodes, 100+ hours of extra's, the exquisitely designed book....it's actually a steal. And it is totally indispensible for any true Seinfeld fan.
The Cleverest Show Ever Made August 15, 2008 Michael LaRocca (Chiang Mai, Thailand) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Seriously, only one show can get the superlative rating. I've thought about it, too, and if there's ever been a more clever show, I haven't seen it. I didn't watch this for years, because I thought Jerry Seinfeld's face was too ugly. Yep, I can be that shallow! But then, I heard it being discussed around the office water cooler every week for over a year. And you know you did too. So I finally tuned in. Weekly in prime time, perhaps year 7, and five days a week in early evening reruns. And now, at last, I've seen every episode ever made, in order, and I must say they're all hilarious, except for a few that are merely very funny. To state the obvious, it started with Jerry doing "bits" and George listening/commenting, then grew into an ensemble piece. Did they know how much talent Michael Richards (Fridays) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (SNL) was bringing to the cast, or were they just very lucky? In my case, I was a Michael Richards fan long before Seinfeld, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus wasn't all that memorable on SNL, so that was a nice surprise. But you know why this show's getting five stars, right? The writing! Always tight, always clever, with an excellent mix of physical humor, low humor, very intelligent humor, maximum use of the acting talents it had, and those tight endings that neatly tied together threads which really seemed impossibly disparate. And all in only 22 minutes a week. Wow! As you may have guessed, this isn't something I'm gonna watch from start to finish one time -- I just did that -- and then get rid of. Oh no, it stays on my shelf, to be watched again and again. It doesn't matter if it's an episode I've seen once or 10 times, it's always good for another viewing.
