Excellent Compilation for beginers November 9, 2008 Dooddlebug (Virginia, USA) This two disk set is a very good way for those begining to work with Yoga. All the poses are well explained. And as one advances, it doesn't become boring. As bonus, there's a disk wiht meditations that really help one relax and find ways to calm the mind and find the inner-peace component of a yoga lifestyle.
Read this cover carefully, September 23, 2008 Trish (CA) I enjoy the Yoga Zone series for most part and already own a few titles. Before you buy this one, double check and make sure you don't have the Introduction to Yoga title as this would just duplicate it in your library. I'm not a bit fan of companies changing the covers to old titles, but at least this one has the meditiation dvd with it, which is why I gave it three stars.
Not what I wanted, but a good beginner's reference April 21, 2008 Paka Paka (Columbia, MO United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a very good instruction video for those who are beginning yoga. It is one long workout, about 55 minutes. The instructor is this old guy and he has with him four students, one of whom is his wife. I was expecting short, basic routines but looking at the chapter selections, you can choose which pose you want to work on for correct form or just start from the beginning and do the whole thing. I haven't seen the second video (Meditation) but I don't think I'll bother. I'll look into Barbara Benagh's video instead.
Good for Beginners January 2, 2008 Underdirt (Auburn, GA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I earlier purchased AM PM Yoga for beginners with Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden. It was also good, but this Yoga Zone is really more suited for beginners. They walk you thru the moves and explain breathing is more important than forcing yourself into a pose. They take the time to show stiffer people how to work into the routine. It is not as quick as the 20 minute sessions on AM PM, but it will help you better.
