| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description First published in 1983, this book is being re-released because today, as then, there is widespread concern about preventing the sexual abuse of children. There has been much publicity about adults using positions of trust and power to facilitate the abuse of children in this way. The challenge is the same as it was 20 years ago: to help children protect themselves from those adults who would prey on them. "No More Secrets For Me" is a book of stories to be read with children. Each centres around a common example of abuse to help children discriminate about who they can trust, how to avoid potentially abusive situations and how to tell an adult about abuse that may have already occurred.

| Customer Reviews:
The first book I ever bought for my children July 15, 2007 bookmaven (South Jersey) I was sexually molested by an uncle when I was 10. To compound the trauma, my mother refused to believe me or help me; that job was left to my father, who did take steps to protect me from my mother's brother. I went for counseling years later, and felt I'd dealt with the trauma...until I had children. When I found out I was pregnant at age 32, the first thing I did was buy a book, written for children, to explain to them what good touch and bad touch is. I became an overprotective mother because of my past abuse, and each of my children (I have 3) have read this book. I highly recommend this book!
