Product Description When children wonder about sex, where will they go for the answers? Providing accurate, lucid, unbiased answers to nearly every conceivable question children may have about sexuality, IT'S PERFECTLY NORMAL is here to help. From conception and puberty to birth control and AIDS, it is a refreshingly open and thorough presentation of the facts of sex—both biological and psychological—which children need now more than ever. Throughout, two cartoon characters, a curious bird, and a squeamish bee reflect the diverse feelings children often have about sex. Packed with warm, age-appropriate illustrations, often humorous but always scientifically correct, IT'S PERFECTLY NORMAL offers children the reassurance that the changes and emotions they experience while growing up are perfectly normal.

DON'T READ THIS BOOK!!!! September 3, 2008 Shopper (Austin, TX) 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
This book should definately not be given to children or teens. In my opinion, it is pornographic and totally discussing. What happened to morality. This isn't teacing anything. Shame on you PLANNED PARENTHOOD. What will they think of next. Don't waste you time or money. Don't give this to your kids.
I wouldn't even want my teens to read this... May 21, 2008 Judith Muehlbauer (Brainerd, MN United States) 8 out of 16 found this review helpful
This book is heavy on sexual "mechanics" and, in my opinion, crosses the line into child porn (see pages 23 and 37). Who needs another book that treats sex as a "function," rather than an act intended to bring children into the world and create a stronger bond between married couples?
It's perfectly Normal May 21, 2008 A. M. Dykstra (east coast, USA) 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
It's extremly libral!!! It's too much information and too graphic to share with my 10yr olds. It's title should read something like "A childs version of, The Joy of Sex". No referances to marriage or family it only referances having sex because it feels good. Sounds like my dog in heat!!!
Demographics vary by region, gender, and individual February 3, 2008 Pat Finder (Rochester, NY United States) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The material is appropriate for teens. What I want parents to consider is "at what age"? Girls start puberty before boys. Different regions of the world have puberty starting sooner or later. Further, there is a huge distribution across individuals as to when puberty starts. It is far better to have your kids learn about this "a little too soon", than "a little too late." It is the difference between embarrassment and catastrophe. Best Regards, - Pat
Child pornography November 26, 2007 J. S. Pugh 13 out of 21 found this review helpful
This book contains extremely explicit pictures that were deemed too graphic for at least one prison. It actully meets the requirements for pornography in most states and child pornography on some. This book is NOT appropriate for young children.
