I've had this tape for awhile and just used it for the
first time tonight. I think the music is great, upbeat
and lots of variety. I didn't mind that it was made
in the 80's. But it moved way to fast for a beginner or
someone who is just started out, especially a larger person,
unless you were very good at dance or something! The first two segments are more stretching than aerobics, which
is nice, expect from what I've read, it's not good to do stretches
without first warming up your muscles.
When she does move to the move aerobic part, I found myself
tripping over my feet. She doesn't explain how to do the moves
or what is coming next.
In the cool down and stretch portion at the end, she forgets to
work one leg on one of the last stretches. And she moves very quickly
from one side to the other, that I hardly had time to turn over
before she was starting something else.
I gave it two stars as I will use it after a more aerobic exercise
for stretches... but that's about it.
If you're bigger and out of shape (like me!) I would suggest
getting the Walk away the pounds tapes. They are easy to follow,
have good direction, only a few steps to learn. And while, there
isn't any very large women in it, I don't think that is so important....
at least to me. I've been doing the 1, 2, and 3 miles Walk Away
the Pounds tapes, for 6 weeks and have lost 26 pounds so far.
