You can Do March 10, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Leslie Sansone - You Can Do Abs I was a little disappointed in this workout dvd. I was looking to enhance my exercise ball workout and thought that this would give it to me. But is was really a started workout with the exercise ball. If you've never used an exercise ball this would be for you. But if you have been doing a routine with the exercise ball this is not for you. I expected (since I've used Leslie Sansone walking dvd and got great workouts with them) a better and longer workout and this was not the case.
good, but only for the very out of shape who also happen to have good balance October 3, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love Leslie and her workouts, and while I do enjoy this workout, I need to use it for the lighter days when I don't really feel like a workout. I workout moderatly everyday, and the majority of which are Leslie videos. This just leaves me lacking something. Like I didn't get a good workout. The only good workout I get from this video is from laughing so hard as I try to keep my balance on the ball on the side crunches. That part takes some balance that I just don't have!
Good introduction August 6, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Since I had not worked with a stability ball at all, this video was a good introduction for me. Very elementary, but that's what I needed. Once I master the basics, however, it would have been nice for her to provide an outline of how to make the workout more advanced. Or better yet, include another more advanced segment on the tape.
Easy but good :-> September 1, 2006 27 out of 28 found this review helpful
Sometimes you want an exercise DVD that focuses only on your abs. This is one of those and it's good, but very easy and not for advanced exercisers. It's really more of an introduction to using a stability ball for building up your core. She gives you a lot of instruction first, so you don't feel totally out of sync on the ball and you'll feel comfortable on it. Then there is the 20 minute workout. During that, there is an optional final part that uses dumbells for arm exercises and upper body work (there are advanced options within that too). All you need is weights and the ball and a lot of balance, but using a ball is really enjoyable because you can feel your abs tightening the whole way through. I really like Leslie. She's experienced and pleasant to listen to and also encouraging. This is a great workout but definately for beginners and way too easy for advanced people. This is a good starting point if you haven't used a ball before.
Leslie Makes It Easy! February 22, 2006 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
After purchasing my stability ball, I attempted to do the exercises printed on the instruction manual. I gave up quickly because the exercises seemed too difficult for a beginner. I am a big fan of Leslie's other walking videos, so I decided to give this one a try. True, it's not the most challenging, but it's a great place to start if you're a beginner to stability ball exercise.
