Super Intense Fast Paced Workout April 14, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Hi..My name is Roger Jones and I'm 41 years of age. This workout is undoubtedly the most difficult and intense I've ever done. WOW....WOW...WOW...WOW is what I have to say. I've been using Jane Fonda's workout videos since 1995 and I recently purchased this one last year (2007), even though it's one of her earliest. I've been using Lower Body Solution, Low Impact Aerobics and Stretch, The Complete Workout and Lean Routine. Lean Routine used to be my favorite but this one takes the number one spot. There are quite a few exercises (primarily some of the stretches and abdominal work), that I just can't do exactly as she does. I simply improvise and do what I can. Also, I do it in two sessions, usually. One day I would start off with some of my own exercises using the ab-trax, then doing everything up to the aerobics section. The next day, I would again start of with my own exercises using the push-up pro, then doing everything from the balancing section to the end. I also do some of my own stretches in addition to the ones she does. I do have to admit one thing thing though....I take some short cuts during the floor work. GOODNESS GRACIOUS, the abdominal work literally fries me, toasts me and boils me simultaneously. This workout is extremely difficult and fast paced. Every second and sub-second is intense. For those of you at the advanced stage and have tried this workout, but just can't do it exactly as she does, don't be discouraged. Maybe some of you can try something like I've done, be a bit creative and do it in different sessions. So far, I'm really enjoying it (especially the aerobics), even though it gives me a swift kick. I hope someone found this review helpful. Can I have some feedback from anyone?

The days when a Workout was a Workout! February 28, 2005 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
The 90-minute tape was initially designed for dancers, athletes and those with extensive exercise experience. Here, every inch of the body is put through a vigorous set.
ARM Workout: Begin with a thorough stretch, then six minutes of ARM workout, you can feel the shoulders burn. Six minutes never seemed so long.
The 20-minute AEROBIC section is excellent! During the aerobic section, she works out with two fit young men; the aerobic section is very high impact and deeply intense. While moving constantly, Jane provides easy steps, the cues are sufficient.
What is rarely included in any of today's workouts is a BALANCE section. Stand on one leg, raise it up and sway. This legwork is not easy and runs the length of about eight minutes.
The WAIST SECTION: Again, I have used many videotape programs for exercise, but rarely have I done a specific waist workout. It is indeed strenuous. Another eight minutes long. Eight minutes doesn't sound like a long time, but when you physically challenge your waistline to a grueling workout, it is a long time.
The last half-hour is the floor work starts with STOMACH CRUNCHES. This is probably the most difficult because she does what I know I can't do! For the average person who engages in a regular exercise program, if you can accomplish exactly what she does, I applaud you.
She proceeds to work on the LEGS. Simple leg work and inner thigh work consists of about 200 movements for one leg, then double that for both legs. You will move those legs up and down 400 times. Add another 200 moves for ROVERS (floor work on all fours, lifting leg up and out.)
The GLUTS (Butt work) is just over four minutes. She strains the gluts for approximately 200 times.
I will always come back to this this workout, just to show myself I can do it! Undoubtedly, the most challenging workout ever......MzRizz
