Product Description
The most anticipated story in the blockbuster Dark-Hunter series. The never-before-revealed story of the Dark-Hunter leader, Acheron. He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god. . . Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind. Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he’ll do anything to keep concealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence. Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both. War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

Wow I just Love Ash August 30, 2008 This one was worth waiting for. Splitting it into two parts was a terrific idea. The first part broke your heart as Ash's former life is revealed, and the second part was just what you could hope for, sexy Ash and a terrific love for him. Definitely get this one. Talk about getting your money's worth from a single book.
Long Awaited Book August 29, 2008 While reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's earlier works, I always wondered what made Acheron the way he was, and now I know.
Her best book yet! August 29, 2008 It took me only 2 days to eat this thing alive. All I have to say is that if it doesn't inspire you to re-read the rest of the series I don't know what does. This book is the best book that she has released of the Dark Hunter series. She keeps true to her style of sexy yet believable. Her heroine in this one is her atypical heroine to where she's not like the other romance novels ladies. Tory, our heroine, has got quite the attitude and you will fall in love with her spirited being and laugh as things come to be in the second half of the book which takes place in present day. The first half of the book though is rather intense and will want to rip your heart out and place it on a platter.
Ash has quite the horrible past, but as many of Kenyon followers know after her tour, not all of Ash has been revealed!
I HIGHLY recommend this book to any and all romance readers and Kenyon fans because this is a really really good book.
Great Read August 29, 2008 This book was great! I enjoyed the way she pulled all the aspects of Ash's life together for the reader and then finally allowed him a life.
Slow start August 29, 2008 I ended up enjoying the book, but it began very slowly. The book really floundered through about the 1st half and then began to pick up as it moved toward the end. Glad I read it.
