If you follow these lifestyle-changing suggestions, you will enjoy
• long-term success: Eat the foods you love and enjoy–bread, pasta, and all your favorite Italian dishes–while adopting healthier eating habits. • no more addictions: A two-week “tough love” stage helps you kick the habit of sugar, junk food, and preservatives. • zero deprivation: The Sicilian way of cooking and combining foods means less snacking in between meals, and less temptation to fill up on desserts. • family-friendly recipes: Children will love and benefit from the dishes as well, so you can share the good eating and the good health.
Plus you’ll find vital information on how being overweight affects each part of your body, including the skin, brain, heart, liver, joints, back, and breasts.
Most people don’t realize that many of their health problems derive from unhealthful weight. Discover the Sicilian secret to a happy life. Capture a pleasurable way of eating that will bring all the blessings and bounty of the Mediterranean to your table, to your life, and to your health!

Wonderful way of Eating November 18, 2009 Patricia A. Wilie (Texas) I was raised eating the Mediterranean way as my Mom and her family was from the old country. It's a tasty and wonderful way to eat. Many flavors to experience and love. Easy to prepare and a good way of life. It's a healthy way of eating without sacraficing the flavors.
Great weight loss meal plans November 15, 2009 V. Myers Very informative, and recipes that work for weight loss. Everything is very tasty since olive oil can be used relatively freely. I find the salt use a little heavy, but that can be adjusted. It is a diet that is easy to stay on because you feel great and don't feel deprived. Some days it is hard to cook both a big lunch and big dinner, so I just cook one meal and snack on it again later. Haven't tried the maintenance diet yet, but it looks like a healthy one to follow for life. Highly recommend this book.
It's just ok October 22, 2009 J. Engblom I was hoping for more recipes in this book. There are a handful but they're all very similar to one another. Great advice in the book but it all seemed pretty common sense to me.
Great cook book October 2, 2009 E. Gofman (usa) i never cooked italian food before. this book is great,be cause the recipes is very simple and very delicious.
Not what I thought it would be...... September 23, 2009 Border Girl 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Unless you are seriously into fish dishes, skip this book. I looked through it once and gave it away. Shame on me for not giving this more thought than I did. I wasted that money.
