Very InformativeFebruary 10, 2010 M. Powell(Seattle, WA USA) I'm reading this book to get certified, but so far I'm impressed with the content and layout. It has a lot of useful research-backed information, and it starts with the scientific fundamentals and background before going into exercise technique and programming. I really feel like I'm gaining some valuable knowledge.

Lacks consistency. A huge amount of info poured into this book with little organization or purpose, simply to make it more difficult to pass the test.

I just took my Personal Training course and this book was recommended to me by the instructor. I think it is a great book and has a lot of information. I think the book would make a little more sense if I had more advanced schooling in Kinesiology or Physiotherapy; however, I was able to pull out the critical information that I needed to complete the course and learn a few things while I was at it.
