Very informative and excellent comparisons. March 1, 2010 Amber Locke (Seattle, WA) I am into nutrition an didn't think I could learn much from these books, but I was wrong. They are compact, yet contain very important information from pesticides used, how to tell if fruit or veggies are ripe, the FDA, rodents and bugs in factories, nutritional information on product, and very good "eat this not that" comparisons.
Great book to raise consciousness February 2, 2010 E. Fong (San Francisco, CA) I purchased this book for my kids (7 & 10). They loved it and read it again and again, seeming it entains them. It made them to become label readers. Whenever we go to market together, they started making comments and suggestions on what to get and not. My husband also likes to flip it through and changed some of his "usual" items. I think it is a good thing that his book is making us to be conscious of what we eat.
Kids love it! January 17, 2010 Susan L. Kooy (chicago) This is a great way to get kids more informed about what they're eating...and why I don't buy them everything that they ask for at the grocery store!
Great book idea for my grandson December 28, 2009 K. McDonald (Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My nine year old grandson needs to loose a few pounds so I bought him this book for Christmas. He instantly started reading it, telling his Mom what to make and what NOT to make for him so he can loose weight. My daughter started reading it then and between the two of them, they have worked out a good diet for my grandson. It's a great book, that feels good to read and it explains so much. So glad I bought it.
Eat this, Not that December 23, 2009 Merle Kh Chong 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is fine and informative, but I could not understand why on the spine of the pages there was a black dot made with a felt pen or various sizes. Not too big, but on some the ink leaked through, so you can see a small smudge of black on the page. I returned them and Amazon was good about replacing them, but when the second replacement batch (I bought 7) came with the same mark, I could not understand. It was too late to try again to return and the third time, I may get the same thing. The salesperson was nice enough to give me a small discount. The books ordered from a commercial company where I had to pay the postage, did not have the black mark. The books were supposed to be new. Why do they make that black mark? As gifts, you do want them in good condition. MKH
