Product Description
Prevention magazine is the country's most authoritative, trustworthy, and innovative source for practical health, nutrition, and fitness information. Now, its editors bring you a weight-loss plan that's specifically designed to target your number-one trouble spot: BELLY FAT. For women over 40, belly fat is incredibly stealth and incredibly stubborn. It's also the most deadly, contributing to a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, and chronic illness than any other type of fat on your body. Finally, science has helped uncover a key dietary weapon in the fight against belly fat. Monounsaturated fatty acids, or MUFAs, help dieters lose more weight--in their bellies specifically--and keep it off longer. Flat Belly Diet! will lead you step by step, day by day, meal by meal toward a flatter belly...and a longer, healthier life.

Flat Belly Diet March 19, 2010 Carolyn G. Hall (Mesa, AZ United States) Makes for good reading. I have eaten MUFA's at each meal as suggested to get a flat belly. Been doing it for years not knowing that it was suppose to do anything special for my belly. Sorry, it didn't work for me. I stuck right by the program as well as drinking the Sassy water. Good selling point to make you buy the book to see what all the hip is about. Nothing wrong with eating healthy but no flat belly for me without exercise. I'm a sucker for taking the easy way out.
FOR WOMEN ONLY-- March 16, 2010 Diabetic Oinc (Outside US and Canada) This book makes sense, but it is aimed mostly at women, the Men's version wasn't on the shelves when I ordered the book. It also focuses on preventing diabetes, but it doesn't seem to take into account the fact that a LOT of PEOPLE are already DIABETICS, other than that, all the stuff about MUFAs makes sense. For whatever reason, the book offers on line support for residents of the US and Canada only.
Great book ~ very informative February 24, 2010 C. Simmons (Palm Desert, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased this paperback copy of the Flat Belly Diet for my niece. I really love my hardback copy. Diet works if you stick to it!
Flat Belly Review February 23, 2010 Sarah Davis (BELLEVUE, KY, US) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is so brilliantly written. It tells you everything you need to know to get started. It's the easiest plan I've ever followed. The first 4 days of the Jump Start were really hard, but not because the authors didn't lay out exactly what to do. In the first 4 days I dropped 9 pounds and 2 belt notches. It's been over a month and I've lost 15 pounds and I only went to the gym once. This book will change your life. If you're looking for a way to lose weight and get healthy without following a "fad" diet, you've found what you're been looking for. I've told everyone I know about this book. (In fact, I bought this copy for my mom because she saw my dramatic weight loss and wanted to join me.) Because of the dramatic weight loss during the first 4 days of the Jump Start, you are dying to continue on with the 28-Day plan that follows.
As a side note, I'm not even a largely overweigh person. I only started with about 30 pounds to lose and I'm already halfway there.
Horiffic scam February 19, 2010 John 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
If I could give this book zero stars, I would, but it is not an option here.
I bought the Flat Belly diet after the holidays. What a waste of money! The book is very disorganized, reads poorly, and includes fake foods. They recommend margarine, and fake foods. Thanks, I need to improve my health, not damage it. It is a scam diet, stay away.
