Good recipes, but lacks appeal April 6, 2008 Kelton (North Canton, Ohio) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is another good source of low fat / low cholesterol recipes. However, if you are like me and like to see photos of what you're cooking, this cookbook isn't for you. I was very disappointed that there are no photos other than the cover. When I go through a cookbook looking for a new recipe to try, if the food looks good in a photo, I want to try the recipe. I personnaly recommend the Betty Crocker Low Fat / Low Cholesterol cookbook if you want good recipes with photos.
Great book and it might save my life! January 11, 2008 R. Clark 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have found the recipes in this book to be better than what I expected. I feel like I have more energy just after a few days of being on a low cholesterol diet and if I physically feel a difference that soon, then my cholesterol must be dropping. I must worn you that if you don't like to cook, then this isn't the book for you. The recipes in here require a lot of fresh foods and time to prepare them, about 45 minutes. But I have to say it is well worth the effort. My health is what's most important. I can't afford to be a picky eater with my cholesterol.
