This is low carb??? December 24, 2008 Just Some Lady 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was excited to see that Betty Crocker had a cook book for low carb. I'm looking to get back in to the low carb ifestyle but when I looked in the book the recipes don't look to be low carb at all. 1 1/2 cups of flour? Potatoes? Low fat cheese? SUGAR??? I can understand maybe a smidge of this here and there but it seems to push the envelope a bit too far. If you can tolerate a higher percentage of carbs or you have a preference for small potions this book may be just the thing for you. If you need to cut carbs significantly though this book is not what you're looking for. I gave it two stars because I thought maybe the recipes in it might be good. I don't know because I didn't dare try any.
Lots of good recipes October 1, 2008 Wendy A. Bowers (Lombard, Il USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Living Low-Carb isn't always easy but having a cook book that has a lot of simple, delicious and easy to prepare choices sure helps. You can always count on Betty Crocker!
