Product Description
The need for change as we get older?an emotional pressure for one phase of our lives to transition into another?is a human phenomenon, neither male nor female. There simply comes a time in our lives?not fundamentally different from the way puberty separates childhood from adulthood?when it’s time for one part of ourselves to die and for something new to be born. The purpose of this book by best-selling author and lecturer Marianne Williamson is to psychologically and spiritually reframe this transition so that it leads to a wonderful sense of joy and awakening. In our ability to rethink our lives lies our greatest power to change them. What we have called “middle age” need not be seen as a turning point toward death. It can be viewed as a magical turning point toward life as we’ve never known it, if we allow ourselves the power of an independent imagination?thought-forms that don’t flow in a perfunctory manner from ancient assumptions merely handed down to us, but rather flower into new archetypal images of a humanity just getting started at 45 or 50. What we’ve learned by that time, from both our failures as well as our successes, tends to have humbled us into purity. When we were young, we had energy but we were clueless about what to do with it. Today, we have less energy, perhaps, but we have far more understanding of what each breath of life is for. And now at last, we have a destiny to fulfill?not a destiny of a life that’s simply over, but rather a destiny of a life that is finally truly lived. Midlife is not a crisis; it’s a time of rebirth. It’s not a time to accept your death; it’s a time to accept your life?and to finally, truly live it, as you and you alone know deep in your heart it was meant to be lived.

Marianne is amazing January 4, 2009 Mark Meincke (Alberta, Canada) Why Not Me: The Keys to Unlock Your Power and Release Your Potential Marianne is a gifted teacher, and a blessing to the world.
Mid-life can be a new starting point January 1, 2009 John H. Eagan (Freehold, NJ) Everyone should experience a spiritual awakening at some point in their life. Sometimes it takes a bit of a mid-life crisis to realize there's a different and better direction one must take. It time to sit down and evaluate your life and know thyself. The Age of Miracles: Embracing the New Midlife by Marianne Williamson helps people make the transition in a positive way and hopefully in a spiritual way. By the way, I see from reading the reviews on this site some people have recommend my book, "The Enlightenment, What God Told Me After One Million Prayers: A Message for Everyone," and again I just want them to know how much I appreciate their recommendation, especially at such a excellent site. I wrote this book out of love and for the glory of God and Jesus, not for my own fame or fortune. I welcome people to read my book, I'm sure you'll find this non-fiction account of a loving God just as and inspiring.
Getting Older is Great! December 20, 2008 Stephanie Riseley Love from Both Sides: A True Story of Soul Survival and Sacred Sexuality I'm a writer (that's my book), and a hypnotherapist, and because most of my clients are middle-aged women who want to lose weight, I loved this book and recommend it highly. First, as I said, getting older is great, because the alternative is dying, yes? And because my husband died in my arms and then "came back" to chat about love and the sacredness of sex, it changed my perspective on many things. And Marianne's "Age of Miracles," is an empowering perspective-change on aging. Read this book and let it inspire you to take your own life seriously and live it the way it's meant to be lived.
Great Book December 16, 2008 Joan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Life is a series of changes. Anyone who gets older knows there are different phases in life. In "The Age Of Miracles'" Marianne Williamson tries to help people through their mid-life crisis. People think mid-life means the turning point to death. It should be a time of wisdom. A time to see what is really important in life. If you are having trouble understanding your life and you want true meaning, I suggest you read "The Enlightenment, What God Told Me After One Million Prayers: A Message for Everyone" by John H. Eagan. It's a beautiful book that will help you find your true purpose.
The Age Of Miracles; Embracing the New MidLife November 29, 2008 J. Dooley (Midwest, USA) By far, the most common sense book on who we are at midlife. You cannot help but be affected as you listen to the cd and it dawns on you that every word Marianne Williamson utters makes complete and perfect sense. It's as though she knows you and is speaking to you personally. You will come away not only with a new knowledge of who you are as a middle aged person, but as who your parents, siblings and children really are as well. It provides amazing insight into the human psyche. It's simply a must read. If you don't have it - GET IT. And then, share it with everyone else you know.
