I really liked this book because it gives great and simple ideas on how to change your way of life. I am 62-years old and will start the 30 day program Mariel offers after I return from vacation next week.

The meals are easy and the exercise is suitable for everyone. I also like the suggestions about silence and improving living space.

I higly recommend this book and will give several copies to friends.

Mariel Hemingway is honest in sharing her life in this book. She makes it clear that healthy living is a process that affects every aspect of one's being. But she does it without being preachy, as so many books do. She is real and she simply shares what has worked for her. This book is well organized and easy to read, and full of simple changes a person can gradually make in their lifestyle. It is a common sense approach for the average person.

I bought this book at a book fair for charity because it was the best offering they had. I was surprised at the depth of information and how easy the options for healthier living were. Very in-depth and complete all around help for eating, exercising, meditating - taking care of the entire body and soul.

Mariel Hemingway gives very sound advice in the areas of food, exercise, silence and home in a clear, concise and inspiring manner. I have tried most of the recipes in this book and have found some true favorites- especially the breakfast shake and the purple puree! My favorite aspect of the book are the quick fixes and tips she has scattered throughout that offer breathing, meditation and stress relief exercises. Excellent book.
