Miserable Balls September 29, 2008 G. Jentz (minneapolis) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used the"head on the ball" exercise from your book, The Miracle Ball Method, and have now spent hundreds of dollars on chiropractic, accupuncture and massage. In retrospect, I probably stayed in the position too long, but it was comfortable and I never imagined that I would end up with so much pain in my neck, chest shoulder and even into my jaw. I was as the author suggests, "simply breathing and unwinding." I had no pain while using the ball, but the very next morning I had pain that has lasted for over two weeks. My chiropractor has called your "miracle" balls" a money maker for chiropractors. I have never used a physical prop supposedly for the purpose of relieving pain, cause me such incredible, and long lasting pain. I am still trying to heal, almost now three weeks later. There needs to be a very clear warning on the box about "overuse" of the ball. I would never suggest anyone buy these and I am writing into every magazine that advertises these balls about the injury that they caused me. I am a healthy, active 50 year old woman with no previous neck problems except for stiffness due to computer work. This product is dangerous.
Impressed September 28, 2008 Lin (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have tried too many methods to relieve back pain...can be very costly after a few years! The Miracle Ball Method is the closest and less costly item that I found really works. After spending 10 - 15 minutes using this product, I feel like I've had an hour massage at 1/4 of the price without having to leave the house. Would highly recommend!
Truly a Miracle!!! September 23, 2008 Linda S. Lasalla (Huntington Beach,Ca) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little skeptical. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why a little ball would help my tight lower back. I do yoga, which helps a great deal, but this ball is something that you really have to try to believe. I need to get air put in it because I use it every day for about 20 minutes, longer if I can. It has helped tremendously and I don't take as many OTC meds anymore. Please at least try it, you won't be sorry.
The Miracle Ball is tryly a miracle!! September 15, 2008 Cheryl Gray, author of IMMUNE & BAREFOOTIN (Scottsdale) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been going to chiropractors for years with virtually no relief. My daughter uses the Miracle Ball and talked me into giving it a try. With one treatment, I had relief. I use it nightly. I'm a true believer.
gradually work on knotty parts September 15, 2008 back pain 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a student and started getting lower back pain due to sitting at a chair studying and using my computer. I went on to amazon.com to find some alternative ways to handle my back pain because it was getting almost unbearable just simply to sit and concentrate! Having seen the numerous reviews for this simple product made me curious but still mindful. After having used this for more than a week, my pain has been alleviated tremendously! I definitely recommend this product for anyone suffering from low back pain. As a caveat, I would recommend too that you gradually work on the most knotty or "ouch-y" portions of your body. I find the knotty portions on my back hurt so much to use the balls but also that it felt so good afterwards that I ended up basically being tremendously sore for a good 4 days. (Just as painful as having the back pain in itself) So lay off on the hard portions and knead them out gradually. Also, I think that using a body foam roller for your shoulders and arms is better, I can reach my shoulder bladers better with the foam roller because it's bigger and bulkier. Also, make sure too that you find the time to use these balls. And as some more helpful hints for anybody who is sitting at a desk too much and has back pain, I prefer these balls for my hip joints, the foam roller for my shoulder and arms, plus some exercises on my back to be really help subside my pain.
