An Alcohol Soaked Memoir October 11, 2008 Bennet Pomerantz (Seabrook, Maryland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Chelsea Handler's memoir is slight slushed. Handler is a great standup comic and an actress (In the Motherhood). However in the audio biography, she sound wet behind the ears. She is a wonderful story teller, however its like telling a great joke with no punch line. Handler's slice of life with a twist is not everyone's cut of tea, its mostly bitter Vodka However, she showcases she is a survivor in this audio presenation, but not a great narrator, However Chelsea, next time try a stand up comedy album, it would be more enjoyable Bennet Pomerantz AUDIOWORLD
It's Laugh Out Loud Funny October 11, 2008 Book Goddess (Northeast, OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A really funny, quick read. Some of it was a little over the top, but definitely entertaining and worth it. I listened to it on audio, and Chelsea's voice cracked me up. She sounded just like a good friend of mine, and it was like I was listening to her go through all of these funny exploits.
The funniest book I have ever read!!!!!!!!!! October 10, 2008 Lola Lagoosa (Chicago, Illinois, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is literally the funniest book I have ever read! I couldn't wait to share it with all of my girlfriends! It is hard to find someone so relatable and honest. If they had 10 stars, I would've given it 10! Excellent..good for a laugh so hard you'll cry!
hysterical October 8, 2008 Sylvie Shames-dawson Chelsea Handler is hysterical- I couldn't put the book down and I couldn't stop laughing, out loud, like a lunatic. I nearly peed my pants when reading her diet journal-- I think there are many women who attend parties and end up basically eating the house down- at least I know that I have been guilty of eating an entire brick of cheese at least once in my life. If you like Sedaris or any of the other sarcastic, funny non-fiction short story writers, you will definitely like Handler's book.
This Book is Miserable October 8, 2008 MZC (Virginia Beach) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love funny books (David Sedaris, Jen Lancaster, etc.) however this is not my idea of funny at all! I have no respect for someone who can write this kind of degrading. nasty garbage. I could not get through this book because of this writer's tasteless descriptions and lack of style. She is someone I would never like and I hope I never come into close contact with such a disgusting person. I wish I had known before I bought it. I wish I hadn't downloaded it to my Kindle, so I could have the pleasure of throwing it away. This is as nice as I can be to describe this book.
