Do You Know More About Your Body Than Your Cell Phone? June 25, 2008 Carmen Matthews (San Diego, California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
There are 2 reasons why I chose to read this book. Dr. Oz on The Oprah Show has gotten the public to openly talk about the function of their body parts in ways that many didn't dare even think about - let alone allow themselves to be free to talk about. Also, while sitting at a JuicePlus presentation, I found it interesting that everyone kept talking about how much we need to add fruits and vegetables in our diet, but no one talked about assessing what we are eating now, how our body functions, and the fundamental things we must do to honor being on earth. They seemed to be sold, without question, as though they are at church, and not free to challenge the beliefs. In "You: The Onwer's Manual," this and more is discussed. Questions are asked, allowing you to have those "Ah hah" moments. I particularly like that from the beginning to the last page this book is written in a way that talks to my soul, and truly makes me have belly laughs, while I hone my "body maintenance skills," if you will. I recommend this book as a great source amongst books about living fully.

Every Home Should Have this Book! June 7, 2008 Little Dragon (Montana USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I LOVE this book!!! Enough that I bought this "improved and expanded version" after having bought the original, and that is rare for me. It is written with a hint of humor and such a plain layman's language that EVERYONE can understand what is going on with their bodies, how they work, every organ in your body, what its job is, how to take care of it, how to protect it, improve its doing the job its meant to do, thus helping one to avoid many ills they could get, and thus less visits to the Dr. or how to better communicate with your Dr. to help them help you. Every home should have this book!!! I believe this is the only book of this kind and so complete for the ANY person. It definitely is NOT a boring read, but written in such a fun and interesting way everyone who wants to understand how their body works or is concerned about how to take care to feel better, would enjoy learning from this book. It has many drawings showing how your internal parts work . I HIGHLY Recommend it!!!
