4 out of 5 stars Great Workout   November 5, 2008
Cassidy (Lafayette, LA)
I tried this DVD based on the good reviews and I feel I got my money's worth. I'm always looking for new toning DVDs so I can vary my workouts. I found that the upper and lower body sections were good, but not as advanced as I would have liked. That being said, she did throw in some new moves I've never seen before so it's definitely great for variety. The core section on the other hand was TOUGH. It may have been the same intensity as the other 2 sections, but that's my weakest area so I really felt this one. I saw a couple of reviews complaining about the lack of real cardio. This is a toning DVD with a little cardio thrown in to give you a little break from the strength training. Don't buy this if you're looking for a cardio workout. I reccommend it though if you're looking to do some toning.

EDIT: I wrote this review the morning I did the lower body workout. It is now the next day and I am majorly feeling this workout. I would change my rating to 5 Stars.

2 out of 5 stars I have bought better ones   November 4, 2008

I have watched Jackie's Bravo series "Workout" and thought to try her plan since you really don't see all that much exercise going on on the show. It's okay but I have bought better exercise DVD's like Jillian Michaels '30 Day Shred'. I think that Jackie needs to get back to basics and stop believing her own hype.

5 out of 5 stars MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WORKOUT VIDEO!   October 15, 2008
L. Olson
I am a workout video nut. I'm always in search of the perfect workout video to add to my running routine, and I believe that I may have finally found it! These routines are definitely not for beginners - I'm a fairly fit person, and was definitely feeling sore the day after I first tried out this video. Each segment is 20 minutes and the 20 minutes always fly by! Jackie and her fellow trainers are energetic and do a great job of motivating you to keep going. The workouts can easily be adjusted to be more or less intense by varying the weights that you use.

I definitely recommend this video to anyone who can become bored with slow-moving workout videos and who wants to see results quickly!

This is the best workout video I have ever purchased, and I have lots of them! You will get excellent results. I couldn't finish a repetition the first couple times I did this.

5 out of 5 stars A Great Workout for Major Muscles Groups   October 1, 2008

This is a really excellent workout. Jackie concentrates on the major muscles groups (the "cheat" muscle groups), to give you a good, challenging, time-effective, form-conscious workout. Jackie is an excellent trainer, offering tips and suggestions on how to complete each exercise with perfect form. The fast-paced twenty minute segments are great for those looking to cram in a quick workout. My only complaints are that Jackie tends to neglect some of the less prominent muscle groups, such as the lower back, and the outer/inner thigh area. The inner thigh segment (done by Jessie during the lower body workout) is pretty crappy and ineffective, I would not recommend doing some of the movements in this segment as many might injure themselves (the drop step and the high impact military knee ups are a big no-no). Supplement this routine with a good Pilates workout that concentrates on those minor muscle groups and you have a near perfect strengthening workout!
