good stuff October 21, 2008 buecherwurm I really am not the series type of person, but I absolutely love this one! Great idea, great cast. It is just fun to watch. The DVD-Set is well made. I really like the slim cases and the paper case around it. Have not yet had a chance to watch the additional materials :-( Can't wait until the 2nd season comes out on DVD.
SPYFUN October 21, 2008 David Mills (duncanville, texas, usa) The dvd is fun, a pleasure to remember the early episodes.I endorse this dvd for anyone who enjoys a good spy thriller, comedy and an excellent cast. I found the tv show by accident and it has quickly become my favorite
Burn Notice is HOT! October 21, 2008 Matthew Poyzer (Chandler, Az) This is a good start to fun and exciting show about an out of work spy played by Jeffrey Donovan. The on screen chemistry between Donovan and Gabrielle Anwar is HOT and Bruce Campbell is great. The narrations done by Donovan make the show. With how great this first season went I can't wait to see what they have in store for next season.
Best New Series in a long time October 14, 2008 J. P. Donoghue (Burlington, VT) Burn Notice is an excellent take on the classic detective story. The main character, cut off by the government he used to work for reasons unknown, is dumped in Miami and left to fend for himself. The show has a great arc that focus' on the Burn Notice itself, but each episode he handles some other problem that is either in his way or lands on his lap. In many instances these give him the resources and further connection to continue his inquires into his own burn notice, but occasionally they are for much more important things like eating, impressing his girlfriend and getting his mom off his back. The show is a solid mix of great elements the detective genre. Our hero is One part James Bond, one part Magnum PI, and a dash of Bogart. Its setting is the bastard child of John D McDonald and Girls Gone Wild. The Narrative style is mission impossible meets Alton Brown. In Short, Watch it. Its amazing.
The best TV show ever made. October 13, 2008 Jon Loeliger This show is the best show I have ever seen. It has everything, action, drama, romance, more action, suspense, plot, everything. Totally genius.
