Great Entertainment November 2, 2008 ShmulkeMom After decades, this miniseries still maintains its status as one of the best ever aired for TV.
Centennial November 2, 2008 R. A. Severson (Orange Park, Fl.) This is a great series! It takes you back to the 80's the 18 & the 19. Seeing all these stars at a younger age & some we forgot. It is a long series but every minute is enjoying, about the the setteling of the west and sadly the down fall of our native Indians, They showed us how to do so many things but the politicians and the greedy did them in, in the name of progress. My wife and I spent a week watching this series and now we have to view it again just to get some things we missed. This series is worth every penny and is a must see for history buffs.
CENTENNIAL October 31, 2008 AJC1835 (MASS.) THIS MOVIE SERIES HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITES FOR A LONG TIME. SINCE I WAS ABOUT 4 OR 5 I THINK. ANYWAY I HIGHLY RECOMMENED CENTENNTIAL TO ANYONE WHO ESSECIALLY LOVES AMERICAN HISTORY. AWSOME!!!
Worth the wait October 30, 2008 Cynthia D. Busch (Rochester, WA) I watched this faithfully when it was released nearly 30 years ago, & loved it. But series this long never make it to reruns. It is wonderfully true to the book it is based on, & for years I hoped to see it on tape. I found it some years ago, but with a price tag of $150, I passed it by. But I really wanted to see it again, & wanted my kids to see it, too. I was so happy to find it at Amazon, for nearly 80% less! I have not had time to watch it yet, (be warned: this is a long series & will take over your life for a few days)so I have loaned it to family members who had not seen it & it is getting rave reviews. If you enjoy historical fiction, you will love this.
Centennial October 30, 2008 A. M. Lemus I enjoyed watching Centennial. It was very well done. I liked the actors. The scenary was beautiful. I like westerns, but I like history, as well. This, although is wasn't historical, gives one a view of what it was like to pioneer this country. I recommend it.
