Outstanding September 23, 2008 Robert L. Albright I video tapped this when it first aired in 1978. Not the best quality so when it appeared in VHS I bought a set. When it became possible I converted this to DVD. Again not the best quality so when it became avaiable on DVD I bought it. I watch Centennial once a year during the winter months. I have read the book 3 times. This should tell you all you need to know from me about the Centennial series.
Centennial The Series September 18, 2008 Marcia Pask (Calgary,AB,Canada) I was so thrilled when I saw Centennial for sale on Amazon. I have the video series and no longer have a way to play them. I wish they had another series of the same caliber . No nudity, no offensive language and an interesting story line. I feel Jake Pasqinel is portrayed excellently and I don't know who the actor is and I feel he deserves more credit for the part as well as his brother in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again.
Great film. A pity the delivery was messed up and I still have no film. September 17, 2008 Mr. A. N. Lambert (Angleterre) I saw Centennial on British TV when I was still at school and loved it. Unfortunately, I have not been able to see the DVD because Amazon in the USA have not paid the customs charge on my DVD so it is still sitting at the UK post office. E-mails to Amazon USA remain unanswered. UK buyers beware. Do not buy large items from the USA????
Centennial September 15, 2008 S. Hill Absolutely amazing series....watched it when it first came out on TV and was so glad to find it on DVD to add to my collection
This is one of the best mini-series ever made September 15, 2008 Steve Mcdaniel (Coos Bay Oregon) This mini-series was done in the 80's I believe and has 12 episodes that are roughly 1 1/2 each. It cronicles the move west from St. Louis through the eyes of many characters. From when indians controlled the plains until indians were no more and further. Lots of actors you will know. Any Questions, email me from [...]
