Twilight January 6, 2008 Caroline 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Several of my friends at my church started reading this book a while ago when it first came out, so they begged me to read it. The first time I read through it, I thought it was just okay. I thought it was boring. I didn't really READ it through, I actually just skimmed it and looked for main ideas. Then, I decided to actually read it because I had been wondering why everyone else had been obsessed with "Twilight". Now, I definitely realize why everyone loves this book. Although it is obvious that no one can be as perfect as Edward, it is very exciting when he does things that no one else would even think of doing. Also, Stephenie Meyer writes this book so that it feels like the reader is actually there, being Bella, and experiencing the things that they are experiencing. I love how she puts a twist in the book. Not only is Edward a vampire, but Bella, who is just a normal girl who has moved to Forks, finds out that she is in love with him. This is a great romantic and hilarious book to read. I have also read Stephenie Meyer's other two books: New Moon and Eclipse. I hope she continues to write more!
Very Best Vampire Tale! January 6, 2008 Raquel (California) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Let me start by saying I love horror movies, but I'm not a huge paranormal romance/vampire novel fan. The only reason I bought this book was because I am a big reader and after having seen this book on the shelf where all the top picks sit for well over half a year, and I figured that it might be worth a gamble. I was astounded at how well I loved this book and immediately set out to purchase the other 2; I finished all three in less than a week and am now out of luck until the 4th one comes out sometime this fall. I am also eagerly awaiting the Twilight film set to hit theatre in the fall as well. This book is a must read for anyone who likes to read at all! I never knew I could enjoy a vampire teen novel sooo much, I surrender to Stephanie Meyer's superior writing skill-she is a genius.
why aren't there more stars?? January 6, 2008 Freeki (Bloomsburg, PA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would give this novel 10 stars if I could. I was walking through my local B&N store when the cover caught my eye. I read the frist sentence on the back cover and purchased it on a whim. I sat it aside and didn't think of it again for a few weeks. Then after picking it up and turning the first page I was captured in the story of Bella Swan. Upon finishing it I was saddened that I didn't have the next installment in this series. Stephenie Meyer's writing has a smoothness and flow that completely wraps you in the lives of those on the pages. I recomend this book for both teens and adults. You will be captured by Bella, Edward and the rest of the Cullens.
Romance and Adventures all in one. January 6, 2008 All-access Coustomer (Ohio USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not being a huge vampire fan... I thought this book wasnt for me. After picking it up and setting it down five times, i decided to give it a try. I am surley glad i did! Filled with adventures, danger, and romance this books main character Bella, is what all teens dream of being. This romance will keep you reading untill the very end. I read this book in one sitting and when i finished it, i flipped in back over and read it again! This novel sets way for a series that makes you thirsty for more! BRAVO!
amazing January 5, 2008 Karen Lavoie (massachusettes) when i first got this book, it was my birthday, my aunt gave it to me, i had never heard of it before or even heard of the author, and i wasnt even into vampires and all that. the only reason i started reading it was because it was raining out, and i had nothing beter to do, but i soon discovered that i couldnt put it down, i finished it in about two days. since then ive read all three of the twilight series books, twilight, new moon and eclipse, about 5 times each. this is now my favorite series, and my favorite author, a must have book for anyone
