Quick and Delicious October 6, 2008 Greta (Milwaukee, WI USA) Delicious, quick, and easy recipes. The recipes featured here are ready in a fraction of the time needed to prepare those found in companion book, The South Beach Diet Cookbook. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to try the South Beach Diet, but doesn't have a lot of time to cook. The South Beach Diet really works!
great cookbook for eating healthy in general September 23, 2008 M. Millan despite of the diet's name (south beach= very superficial) this diet is great for ANYONE, it's just about eating healthy for life. I wouldn't call it a diet...but should be a lifestyle. Great cooking ideas with very simple ingredients that make healthy and delicious food.

When buying a diet cookbook unseen, the first thought is that there will not be anything in it that I will ever make. WRONG!! I am extremely pleased with the cookbook. I sat down with it the night it came in the mail and started browsing through it. I found so many recipes that I actually wanted to make that I had to put bookmarks in the pages. I picked out over 2 dozen things that I would actually like to try. I have tried several of them so far. They are just like the title of the book claims - Quick and Easy. You don't have to shop the high end stores for special ingredients. Most of what you use is already in your spice cabinet or pantry. The Mahi Mahi with Citrus is excellent. The Green Beans with Mushrooms and Balsamic is delicious. I have already lost 20 pounds in the first month of being on South Beach and I am eating so much better and so much healthier that I don't even consider it being on a diet. It's a new lifestyle now.
