Eat Right Contest

Hello, I got some tremendous feedback from everyone, and it is obvious that a lot of you have the economy on your mind.  So we are building our own Eat Right Stimulus Package!  The first wave of the stimulus package is a CONTEST!! Winners get free memberships, and in the spirit of the government, just by making a valid entry you get free stuff too!

Want to see a demo? http://www.healthstatus.com/health_blog/2009/02/28/eat-right-demo/

How do you enter? You are going to post a comment below on how a free one year membership to an eating right program would help you, a relative or a friend.  Your comment should be less than 500 words.   You must include your name in the name area, and you must include your email address (how else are we going to get a hold of you?)  Neither will be used for anything except fulfillment of the contest.

How do you win?  Write the most compelling or entertaining story on how a membership into the Eat Right @ HealthStatus program would help you.

What can you win?  We are giving away three (3) prizes,  one first prize will be given and is a full deluxe membership for one year into both Eat Right @ HealthStatus AND Workout @ HealthStatus, plus all our first day bonuses that we will be giving away when the site goes live.  Two second prizes will be given away and are full deluxe three month memberships into Eat Right @ HealthStatus AND Workout @ HealthStatus, plus all our first day bonuses.  Just for entering a valid story you get a free week at Workout @ HealthStatus.  You can keep the prizes or give them to a family member or friend.

How long do I have? Not long, contest entries will be accepted from now until  March 5th, 2009 at 2:00 EST.

Legal stuff: Judging will be done by the HealthStatus.com staff and all decisions are final. There are no cash equivalents, you are responsible for paying any taxes incurred based on winning a prize.  Do not enter if it is not legal in your country to participate in contests or sweepstakes.   That is all there is to it.

Hi, when I first read about this eat right contest I definitely got excited. I have been trying to lose the last pounds and have not succeeded. I've tried so many different diets, such as low cal, low carb, eating only fruit, having smaller portions of food, but nothing has helped. I try to run at least mins a day and do a min pilates workout. Trying all these attempts have got me beat and I am almost sure I will never get rid of the last pounds. It would be great to learn how to eat right and work out properly. Please give me a chance and help me out.

Thanks, Jenna

Hello. I am very excited about the eat right contest. I am a Health and Wellness Registered Nurse who has encouraged our employees to lose tremendous amounts of weight. As a group, 143 people lost 2,800 pounds. To my embarassment, I did not contribute ONE pound to that total. It is time I focus on me. I know how to do it, I just can't do it! I really would benefit from this support system! Please choose me and I won't let you down!
Thanks,
Carrie

You have NO idea how this could help me and my husband out. We are both trying to lose weight (and since according to our BMI's we desperately need to). We have cut back on our portions but still need ideas mainly for snacking. That is our worst habit - and usually it hits later at night. For me of course is chocolate, and for him anything sweet. So, we just need all the help we can get and we aren't getting any younger. We have only been married a year on March 15th and we want to make sure to hit the 20+ year anniversaries. All help is appreciated!!! God Bless!

I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I feel like I know how to eat, but I just can't. I make poor choices at restaurants, grocery store, and at family events. I am not considered overweight by health standards, but I don't think weight always is an indicator of a healthy person. I suffer from constipation, sleep insomnia, low energy and motivation. This would give me that boost I need to take care of myself and my family.

Winning this contest would really help me finally learn and maintain a "normal" eating regimen. In high school, I struggled with body image and lost a lot of weight by cutting out snacks and fatty foods from my diet. Once I realized I had a problem and began gaining weight, I soon discovered that my idea of correct portion sizes and the "right" foods was horribly distorted. Now, as a college student, and after the infamous freshman 15, I am looking for help in creating good, consistent eating habits that will enable me to live a long healthy life.

For me to win a contest would give me an opportunity to lose the extra weight I carry around. I already have many health problems that would and will benefit from losing the weight and right now I need all the help I can get.

I would love more info on eating right. I have lost 34 pounds by changing my eating habits and exercising daily, but I am concerned that I may be suffering from some vitamin loss. So, I believe I am on the right track, but need some guidance in ensuring that I am indeed eating the right foods. Thanks

Deanna Meddaoui @ 11:48 am:

Within the last few months I have started a new workout routine that I have fit into my schedule as a new part of my life, instead of what I used to do, which was working out whenever I felt like I had the time. I made the time and it has really been an amazing lifestyle change for me. Now that this part of my life is on track, I would be so excited about the oppurtunity to learn how to eat right because it is so difficult to combine physical activity with healthy eating and dieting has never been an idea I like. I am getting married in a few months and would like to learn how to live a life of healthy eating for my family and I.
Thanks :)

Hi!

For me, learning how to eat right would be a life saviour, and this is not exaggeration. I have suffered from diabulimia for five years now, and my body is really starting to feel it. I am trying to learn how to eat moderately and healthy in order to get my bulimic tendencies as well as my diabetes (type 1) in control. Your program could be of help with that. Naturallym, I'm not expecting a miracle, but I am willing to try any help I can get. As long as there is life there is hope!
