One of the most annoying skin ailments is acne. It can spoil our day or your date at night. Acne suffers have discovered that natural treatments are really better than those prescribed by dermatologists. Natural treatments, however have not been proven scientifically so you might want to be cautious when using them.
Tea tree oil is effective but slow. You can have side effects of skin dermatitis along with other problems if you are allergic to tea sapling oil. Young boys might want to watch out: tea sapling oil can cause breast development. If your acne is rosacea tea tee oil will make the rash worse.
There is a natural acid in sugar cane call glycolic acid. Apply glycolic acid via a sugar mask directly to the skin. This preparation can be used as to exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells. The appearance of acne marks might be slightly diminished. You will have side effects or redness, mild stinging and some skin irritation.
Zinc health supplements have proven to alleviate acne symptom. Zinc encourages wounds to heal and reduces inflammation. Add zinc to lotions and creams and you might find that acne eruptions are reduced.
Try a mask of honey once or twice a week. Honey can prevent bacterial infections and heal skin blemishes.
Every day take ten or fifteen minutes to rub ice on your face. Pay particular attention to the areas covered with pimples and acne. Of course this will be cold and wet, but the cold temperature will shock your skin and shrink your pores. This will lessen oil buildup or maybe just make your face red.
Toothpaste is a weird treatment, but it certainly helps. The ingredients in toothpaste help fight the bacteria in your mouth and can be equally beneficial to treat acne. (You can also use toothpaste to help heal mosquito bites). Dap a bit of toothpaste on your acne before bedtime. Sleep tight and by morning your pimples might just be gone. Note: do use the paste and not the gel.
Urine facial therapy is an alternative medical practice that has been observed in Asian countries for many years. Urine therapists do recommend that you gulp down your own urine, and splash it on your face or soak a cotton ball in your own fluid and wipe it on your skin. The smell will wear off as it dries. There have been reports of disappearing acne after several urine facial therapy treatments. Sounds gross? Urine is really a blood by product containing vitamins, minerals and antibodies.
Nightingale poop facial masks are used in Japan and in high end spas. David and Victoria Beckham (it is reported) use this treatment to keep their skin healthy. Nightingale poo contains an organic enzyme that exfoliates and bleaches the skin. You don’t use the “fresh” product although that might be natural and organic. The poo itself is sanitized to kill bacteria and dried to a powdered form.
Active ingredients in aspirin is salicylic acid, Mother Nature’s chemical, and used to unclog oil from your pores and wash away dead skin. Acne medication products generally contain salicylic acid as the main ingredient and in comparable concentrations to an aspirin mask. You can use generic uncoated aspirin. Dissolve six tablets in a few drop of water. You can also use unfiltered apple cider vinegar to dissolve the tablets. The apple cider vinegar will tone your skin and help clear out your pores. Mix the aspirin with honey or use egg whites or olive oil. These fillers will keep the aspirin from falling off your skin.
Rub the aspirin mixture into your skin and do avoid the area around your eyes. Leave on for at least fifteen minutes. Wash off with warm water and follow up with a moisturizer.
Wash your face twice a day with acne soap. This will prevent acne from erupting.
Keep your hair away from your face. Hair contains oils and may aggregate acne breakouts. Do make sure you keep your hair clean.
Multi vitamins can help clear up acne. It may be that nutrients in the body are not adequate. A sign is the production of fat that clogs pores and causes acne.
One good piece of advice is to eat carrots. Carrots have vitamin A or beta carotene which reduces fat production. It also helps strengthen and repair body tissues. Carrots are rich in the antioxidants needed to eliminate toxins.
Do wash off make-up at night. Make-up clogs pores and cause pimples and black heads. At the same time do not squeeze blackheads and acne pimples. Bacteria will spread and infect your face.
Keep your linens clean. Change your pillow every other day and your bed sheets at least once a week. Pillow cases absorb dirt and oil from you skin. When you lie your head down on a dirty pillow case dirt and oil will be reapplied to your face.
Eat a healthy diet, exercise and get plenty of sleep. A healthy body will help keep the acne away.
